The Storeroom Clerk is the liaison between the operators/technical resources and the Storeroom Leader, providing support for finding parts, shipping/receiving items into the Storeroom, parts inventory, maintaining supplies, and maintaining the overall appearance and functionality of the Storeroom. This role helps ensure on-hand inventory of critical spares to reduce downtime and increase reliability across the facility. This will be a 12 hr. on-shift role working with the operating teams. Job Description Follows and enforces storeroom best practices to optimize spare part inventory to meet the business need. Manages parts counter and can assist customers when needed to locate and check out parts. Distributes storeroom materials in accordance with requisition forms. Performs cycle counts to verify inventory vs min/max limits. Owns inventory flow by restocking shelves, issuing parts to work orders, delivering parts, and receiving returned parts back into stock. Responsible to perform a variety of specific duties, both within the store and assigned store locations, under the supervision of the Store Manager. General duties include: unloading of merchandise trucks, received DC merchandise inventory control, and preparing all merchandise for display. Maintains cleanliness and order in the warehouse at all times. Performs furniture touch ups and repairs. Ensures timely execution of moving merchandise to the sales floor. Insures inside and outside of building as well as surrounding grounds up keep and cleanliness. Maintains close communication with store managers to insure customer service consistent with W.S. Badcock standards. Responsibilities * Provides control of Store and Customer merchandise. * Secures and maintains the company issued tools. * Maintains cleaning supplies and equipment; notifies management concerning repairs. * Cleans, checks, and inspects all merchandise before taking it to the showroom or releasing it for customer P/U for OUTLET Stores or when applicable. * Handles all Inventory Control and Customer Load Outs for OUTLET Stores (or anywhere when applicable) * Assists in maintaining store security and safety. * Learns and complies with the company's loss prevention program by working in a safe manner; identifies and reports, and resolves unsafe conditions that may result in property damage or personal injury. * Assists with customer P/U (where applicable) and unloads DC merchandise. Qualifications * High school diploma / GED. * Six months retail customer service, staff supervision, and delivery experience. * Ability to read maps, shipping / packing documents and assembly instructions. * Ability to communicate effectively with customers, management and personnel by telephone, or through written communication; assimilate information and make decisions. * Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities simultaneously. Effective time management skills. * Strong conflict resolution and negotiation skills and the ability to adapt quickly to changing situations. * Mechanical ability to service and maintain upholstery and case goods. * Valid, clean driver's license - eligible to be DOT certified to operate a box truck if required. * Ability to physically and safely lift up to 75 lbs., or move 200 lbs. with a dolly or assistance of another person without injury or damage to the merchandise. * Ability to stand, walk, sit, twist, bend, kneel, crouch, stoop, climb and reach with hands and arms. Flex-Force(Part-Time) Warehouse Order Puller This position will be part-time/temporary with a flexible schedule. Individuals will choose which shifts they want to work prior to the work week. Available shifts include but are not limited to: Monday-Friday: 7 AM - 11 AM, 12 PM - 5PM, 3 PM - 7 PM Reports to: Shift Manager Position Objective: The Warehouse Order Pullers are responsible for efficient, safe and accurate loading of the delivery trucks and performing the assigned warehouse maintenance tasks. Description of Physical Tasks: Keep all warehouse load areas and grounds clean. Place product on hand truck or dolly (approximately 20 to 50 lbs per case). Fills racks, pushes/pulls pallets and loads appropriate company products. Climbing on and off forklifts. Responsibilities Include Must report to work on time and clock in and out properly. Prior to starting the loading process, review the total quantity to be pulled and the truck it is to go on. Discuss any space concerns with the Load Crew Manager. Build loads for each order in the most efficient manner. Pull and load the exact amounts given through the voice picking system or system generated pick sheets. Ensure loads are done accurately and neatly. Be aware of code dates and load the oldest product first. Visually inspect all cases loaded to ensure they are in saleable condition. Load all carts/pallets onto appropriate route truck. Load the product on each truck properly to prevent damage. Clean all areas before leaving at the end of your shift, keeping work area clean. Clear the pick area of debris and stretch wrap at the end of the truck loading process each night. Prior to the end of your shift each night ensure all empty pallets are removed from the pick area and properly stored. Report any accidents to manager on duty immediately. Maintain open and clear communications with the owners, managers, and other employees of the company. Obtain from the Warehouse Manager approval prior to working in excess of your regular schedule. Dress in uniform and maintain your personal appearance in a professional manner and according to company policy. Conduct all your activities within the guidelines of all company policies and procedures. Conduct all of your activities in accordance to the local, state and federal liquor control regulations. Perform all work activities in accordance to the safe work practices, policies and procedures. Adhere to all established inventory control procedures and practices. Adapt to any new responsibilities required by the Warehouse Manager and Load Crew Manager. All other duties as assigned.
