The driver / warehouse position is responsible for maintaining a professional appearance and knowledge of materials delivered to the customer. The driver / warehouse employee will safely drive and handle all materials in accordance to the company standards of service. This position is also responsible for various duties related to the handling of materials in the warehouse. This position receives, stores and distributes material, tools equipment and products within the warehouse, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all job functions. Reports to: Warehouse Manager or Profit Center Manager Minimum Qualifications: + High School diploma or GED + Class C drivers license + Must be 21+ years of age COMPETENCIES + Communication Proficiency + Thoroughness + Organizational Skills + Time Management + Technical Capacity Preferred Qualifications: + 3 to 4 years of experience in material handling preferred + 3 to 4 years of customer service experience preferred + 2+ years' experience in Electrical supply industry preferred Working Conditions: This position operates in a warehouse setting, with some outdoor exposure during the workday. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines, as well as standard warehouse equipment such as hand trucks, box cutters and tape dispensers. Supervisory Responsibilities: No Essential Job Functions: + Deliver company materials to customers in a professional manner + Effectively and professionally meet and communicate with the public + Drive, automatic/manual transmission vehicle (safely & legally, driving violations may jeopardize your position as a driver) + Shipping and receiving duties; including loading and unloading trucks + Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders to determine items to picked, packed, distributed or shipped/transferred + Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas. + Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence + Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves, or relocate orders to a holding area or shipping department + Use computer to manage sales orders, inventory and enter information into business management system + Participate in cycle counting of physical inventory + Open boxes and other containers + Operate wire cutter to cut wire according to customer orders + Operate forklift in warehouse setting + Sweep, dust and mop. Role Overview The Warehouse Driver provides excellent customer service and support in the warehouse by delivering products and materials to customers in an efficient, exact, prompt, and cost-effective manner. Responsibilities Operate company owned vehicles for the delivery, pickup and relocation of company products and materials. Operate a Moffett or Piggy-Back forklift. Obey traffic laws and follow established traffic and transportation procedures. Ability to follow written, verbal or GPS directions. Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment, such as gas, oil, water, tires, lights, or brakes, to ensure that vehicles are in proper working condition. Report any mechanical problems encountered with vehicles. Load and unload trucks, vans, or automobiles. Verify the contents of inventory loads against shipping papers. Maintain records, such as vehicle logs, records of cargo, or billing statements, per regulations. Report delays, accidents, or other traffic and transportation situations to dispatch via telephone. Able to work independently with minimal supervision. Check delivery tickets for accuracy and thoroughness. Effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with other company employees, vendors, and clients. Perform warehouse duties when not delivering, such as loading, unloading, picking material, general maintenance, etc. Performs additional duties as required and assigned. Requirements: High School Diploma or GED. 3+ years of commercial delivery driver experience. Computer literate; Proficient with MS Office 365. Ability to effectively communicate [written and verbal]. Thrives in a collaborative in a team environment. Detailed oriented work style comfortable with multiple priorities being juggled while maintaining a consistent work approach. Physical requirements: sitting, standing, walking, lift to 50 lbs., carrying, reaching, pushing, and pulling, enduring frequent exposure to outside weather conditions. Scenario is looking for a full-time Warehouse Driver to keep up to date in stocking and rotating inventory at necessary locations on a daily basis.
