The warehouse delivery driver will increase operation efficiency, company profitability and customer satisfaction by accurately and safely receiving, storing, and delivering materials, as well as picking and packing for pickups and delivery.

Prepare truck for operation by assisting in and overseeing the loading of trucks, securing of items and verifying the accuracy of shipping papers.

Inspect truck tires, lights, brakes, fluids, etc. to ensure safe and cost effective performance with preventive maintenance in mind.

Deliver orders via the most effective route to ensure complete orders are delivered according to established time frames and customer' needs.

Maintain communication with company during deliveries to ensure any updated instructions are received.

Document delivery, accuracy and receipt of orders by customers according to company directives and report any discrepancies to company.

Maintain and monitor truck maintenance and driving record requirements and maintain required documents for safety, security and quality processes.

We are seeking a full-time Vehicle/Driver Qualification Associate to work at our corporate office.

In this role you will process vehicle qualifications including fuel and road tax permitting for all units, IRP registration for contractors, State and Federal vehicle permitting renewals and vehicle inspections. In addition to the vehicle side, you will process driver employment verification and labor screening background checks.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Reviews documents and processes requests for qualification of vehicles as well as rental equipment.
  • Review and setup necessary permits and decals for qualified units.
  • Organizes and maintain records on leased vehicles.
  • Assist with administration and updating periodic vehicle inspections.
  • Processes insurance, heavy highway use tax, UCR registrations, assists with IRP and IFTA filing.
  • Assists with employment verification of prospective drivers.
  • Process labor and passenger authorization background screening.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES: Assists with monthly reports and other vehicle or driver qualification

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Excellent verbal communication skills. Excellent telephone etiquette. Typing and data entry skills.

REQUIRED EDUCATION: High school education or equivalent

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Must have the ability to sit at a desk and in front of a computer for long periods of time. Physical presence in office is required. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Must have the ability to handle stress. The employee is occasionally required to sit, stand and walk; use hands to finger, handle and feel; and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include appropriate vision needed to read a computer screen, paper forms and correspondence.

Hamlin's Marine is looking for seasonal to full time driver/yard/washbay associates at our Hampden location who can effectively multi-task in fast paced boat yard.

While working as a driver, you will primarily pick up and deliver boats to customers and to different Hamlin's locations.

While working in the yard, you will primarily assist with the safe and efficient moving of trailers and boats in and out of the yard, storage buildings, service bays, and customer launches in & out of the water. You will assist with checking in new boats, motors, and trailers as they are delivered, completing forms that detail the status and condition of the new units, and prep trailers for sale. You will assist in installing and removing the marina, operate a snowplow to keep the yard safe and accessible in the winter, and help with yard and machinery maintenance and organization.

While working in the washbay, you will clean and detail the exterior and interior of new boats prior to customer pick up, and complete various levels of detail service to storage and service boats based on customer specifications. You will help maintain and clean and organized area, managing cleaning supply inventory and keeping equipment in good working order.

This position requires constant standing, walking, bending, twisting, squatting, reaching, and grasping. Position requires occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. Position may be required to work across a wide variety of Maine weather conditions.
