Job Summary
The Inventory Control Associate is responsible for ensuring accurate, efficient, and compliant inventory management within the Allentown distribution center. This role includes performing regular inventory audits, tracking stock levels, maintaining detailed records, resolving discrepancies, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to support smooth product flow. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and experienced in warehouse or inventory environments.

Maintain an accurate record of inventory.
Inventory is a critical component of our operations. Accurate records and up-to-date inventory quantities are essential to ensure smooth production and meet customer needs.
This includes performing regular inventory counts, investigating discrepancies, and updating records in a timely manner.
Organize and optimize the warehouse and manage the flow of its contents.
The warehouse acts as a major hub for all things that move in and out of the facility, and when it is running well, the business does better for it.
This role will facilitate the transfer of goods and help queue them for upcoming production runs.
Receive and organize incoming goods.
OBX has a healthy cadence of biomass that needs to be received, weighed, labeled, organized, and staged. This also needs to be inspected, sampled, and tracked both physically and in our digital system.
This is an important function as it supports many other departments: purchasing, production, inventory, and accounting.
Responsibilities and Duties
In addition to the above responsibilities, this position will also be responsible for the following.
Receive and organize all biomass and crude deliveries. Use pallet jacks, forklifts, and other appropriate tools as needed to unload trucks and organize goods within the warehouse.
Communicate any issues and nuances with the Purchasing & Inventory Manager and other stakeholders to find a resolution.
Prepare and queue materials needed by pulling them from their respective locations and organizing them in designated areas or delivering them to the appropriate location.
Accurately input data and information into our Enterprise Resource Planning system, Acumatica, as well as Google Sheets and other tracking systems.
Take photos of goods and paperwork being received; capturing detail and context for future reference.
Maintain an accurate and up to date record of all deliveries.
Clean and maintain the warehouse and its contents.
Safely operate forklift or other machinery in order to complete tasks, such as loading, unloading, sorting, staging, and transporting products.
Work safely in warehouse and lab environments and in accordance with standard operating procedures.
Additional tasks as assigned by management in support of company goals and shifting needs.

Ensure that all warranty parts in internal warranty area are tagged and stored in external warranty shed weekly

JOB SUMMARY
Material Handler positions assist with the timely fulfillment and delivery of products from the warehouse.
Material Handler I: Entry-level warehouse associate who is not Power Industrial Truck (PIT) certified. This level performs activities that do not require operating heavy machinery (e.g., moving product from reachable racks, using RF guns, etc.). When issues arise, this level seeks assistance from a Material Handler II or Lead or their respective supervisor who will support problem-solving.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
All Material Handler positions perform one or more of the following functions as assigned:
Unloading: Facilitating unloading, separation, and palletization of materials
Put-away: Scanning and moving product from one location to its destination location (performs secondary scans at final location to ensure accuracy)
Residual Picking: Selecting individual items from the warehouse inventory to satisfy demand, scanning bin locations, item, and counting them to ensure proper item and quantities picked
Induction: Working an automated sorting table, scanning UPCs to load product onto the correct robots; utilizing a computer to systematically sort product at high speeds
Closeout: Using an RF scanner to complete an order and place it on a static conveyer to be sent to packing
Packing / Quality Control: Scanning products and LPNs to ensure orders are correct; placing shipping labels and completing the packaging process
Dock Sorting: Organizing, categorizing, and consolidating orders onto carrier pallets
Value Added Service: Applying UPCs and/or other customer-specific requirements to product or processes
Returns: Processing RMAs (receipts) by validating quantities, segregating product, and ensuring that product received matches the RMAs; facilitating put-away process in the WMS and corresponding to customer service teams to finalize receipt posting in ERP
Transfers: Converting product from one customer specification to another; documenting the conversions in all systems to ensure accurate tracking
Quality Assurance: Ensuring that product quality is performing to Vendor Production Guide (VPG) standards and making action plans to remedy issues with vendors
