    Job Description INVENTORY ASSISTANT Compensation & Schedule • Pay rate: $17.31 per hour • Schedule: Monday, Wednesday-Friday 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.; Tuesday 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; every 3rd Saturday 12:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. • Overtime as required • Employment Type: Full-time, W2 ROLE IMPACT The Inventory Assistant supports the accuracy and efficiency of pharmacy operations by ensuring all inbound product is received, verified, and stocked correctly. This position directly contributes to patient safety, inventory integrity, and overall service quality. Success is measured by accurate receiving, timely put-aways, and compliance with company and regulatory standards under the supervision of the Inventory Manager or Inventory Leads. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Receive and verify purchase orders (POs) for accuracy against packing lists and NDC codes. • Unload, sort, and stock inbound products to correct bin locations using handheld scanners or manual entry. • Maintain all documentation for received product, discrepancies, and DC receipts. • Perform daily cycle counts and assist in annual physical inventory. • Report errors, mis-picks, shortages, or overages promptly. • Conduct sweeps for short-dated and expired products, ensuring FIFO rotation. • Maintain cleanliness and organization in all storage and work areas. • Support reverse logistics, product recalls, and returns programs. • Follow all safety, HIPAA, and DSCSA compliance protocols. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS • High School Diploma or GED required. • 1+ year warehouse or inventory experience preferred. • Basic computer literacy and familiarity with RF scanner technology. • Strong attention to detail, mathematical accuracy, and organizational ability. • Ability to communicate effectively and follow written/verbal instructions. • Demonstrated ability to work independently and meet production goals. CORE TOOLS & SYSTEMS • Handheld RF scanners and inventory software • Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook) • Pallet jack, hand truck, or dolly • Automated pharmacy dispensing equipment (training provided) EQUIPMENT & WORK ENVIRONMENT • Onsite warehouse and pharmacy operations environment. • Regular lifting of 20-25 lbs; frequent walking, standing, bending, and reaching. • Operation of pallet jacks and box cutters. • Use of step ladders to access stocked product. • Extended periods on feet (8+ hours per day). PREFERRED SKILLS • Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) preferred but not required. • Experience with pharmacy inventory systems or distribution centers. • Commitment to teamwork and adherence to I-CARE principles.
