Warehouse attendant job description

Receives, stocks, and distributes items across property accurately and efficiently.


KEY JOB FUNCTIONS
:

Count, check, mark, and enter receiving information into the computer system. Maintain clean, safe, and efficient stocking and picking of all items stored in the warehouse including sweeping and mopping. Operate all warehouse delivery vehicles and forklifts in a safe and courteous manner. Deliver all items from the warehouse to its intended destination throughout property. Picks up and delivers any items from vendors or personnel on property as requested. Maintains compliance with the Indiana Gaming Commission regulations, property and company internal controls, department policies and procedures. Complete all proper documentation for delivery, pick up, and transfer of items ensuring receipt of the appropriate signatures. Assist in departmental inventory of all stocked items in the warehouse. Other duties as assigned.


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:


A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.


QUALIFICATIONS:


Must be at least 21 years of age and possess a valid US driver's license. Must pass OSHA certification for material handling equipment and US DOT driver certification. Must be knowledgeable with the use of a personal computer and Microsoft Office applications. Must be a team player. Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business


WORK ENVIRONMENT
:


Must be able to work independently. Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time (minimum of four hours). Demonstrates a sense of urgency while performing tasks and meeting deadlines. Must be able to maneuver throughout all areas of the casino; from floor to floor either by stairways (minimum of 20 steps) or escalator. Must be able to lift, carry and/or push a minimum of 40 lbs and/or be able to assist lifting up to 150 lbs. Must be able to stoop, kneel, bend, twist, turn, push, pull, grasp objects and the manual dexterity to operate a computer and other necessary office equipment. Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondhand smoke, dust, loud noises and bright lights. Must be able to work varied shifts, weekends and holidays as needed.

BASIC JOB FUNCTIONS
:

Perform all required duties relating to coordinating, controlling and preparing orders for shipments to customer.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


Responsible for maintaining lot integrity and piece counts. Ability to coordinate and communicate shipping through various vendors including customer shipments, Outside Service Processing including but not limited to HIP, Machining and other shipping activities as needed. Prepares and arranges transportation for pieces requiring outside operations to be performed. Maintains contact with SMM Purchasing Manager to ensure on-time delivery to standard cycle times allotted. Responsible for acceptance and movement of shipments from the shipping and receiving platform to storage and work areas. Prepares bills of lading. Ability to use the computer to enter and maintain inventory records with Oracle. Communicate review of orders returning from external suppliers. Extensive knowledge and strict adherence to ISO procedures regarding purchasing and supplier performance. Communicate daily with SMM Purchasing Manager to ensure continuous product flow and on time delivery. Responsible for the control and disposition of rejected materials received and/or inadequate services performed per current ISO procedures. May be required to perform additional purchasing and various Operations tasks as needed. Ability to make decisions independently and ability to multi-task are essential. Drives forklift to transport items between warehouse and plant. Ability to use the computer to enter and maintain inventory records. Restocks, sorts, places and labels materials or items on racks, shelves or bins according to predetermined location. Complete raw material & MRO cycle counts as required by the accounting department. Responsible for adherence to all safety polices, practices and procedures. Ability to work overtime Attendance/Reliability Ability to work at the Chittenango facility
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience: Requires understanding of parts flow through the process. Requires understanding of ISO procedures. Certifications/Licenses: Forklift license required. Other Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: LANGUAGE SKILLS - Ability to read, understand and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to read a tape measure. REASONING ABILITY - Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.


WORK CONDITIONS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. This position requires steel-toed work boots, safety glasses, and hearing protection.

The Warehouse Attendant will be responsible for maintaining and issuing the tools and supplies used in the production supply crib located on the site of our client in Bucyrus, OH.

This is a Monday thru Friday, 3:30pm to 12:00am position.

Essential Functions:
• Receives, unpacks, and stores incoming tools and equipment and requisitions stock to replenish inventory
• Cycle counting
• Mark and identify tools and equipment, using identification tag, stamp, or electric marking tool
• General housekeeping
• Inventory management of tools and equipment
• Coordinate customer needs
• Identify cost savings initiatives
• Delivers tools, equipment or product to workers, manually or using hand truck
• Assist with optimizing scheduled maintenance operations to reduce breakdowns
• Inspect and measure tools and equipment for defects and wear and report damage or wear to supervisor

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Excellent customer service skills
• Experience with the daily operation of supply cribs
• Professional phone demeanor
• Experience with computer managed inventory systems
• Mechanical or Industrial background preferred
• Experience working with maintenance and manufacturing personnel is a plus
• Ability to be flexible
