Overview: The Warehouse Associate is responsible for the receiving inks from various locations. Unloading trucks and properly storing the products.

Essential Job Functions:

+ Inspects shipments as they are received making notations of discrepancies or damage.

+ Pull order for shipping.

+ Pack orders in a manner that they reach the customer in satisfactory and least expensive condition.

+ Coordinates with Customer Service the specific instruction needed for individual orders.

+ Preparing all shipping documents needed to ship the freight using the Sun Chemical approved carriers.

Warehouse teammates are responsible for counting, verifying, and receiving incoming vendor shipments and customer return material, stocking and maintaining the warehouse, and picking, documenting, and packing customer orders.
As a Warehouse teammate with Hughes your specific duties will include, but are not limited to:

•Receive, count, and verify incoming shipments
•Stock the warehouse and maintain cleanliness, order and safety
•Pick materials for orders, assemble and package the materials for shipment/pick up
•Load/unload trucks and operate a forklift safely
•Monitor inventory levels and stock depletions that could impact customer service
•Maintain warehouse cleanliness, order, and safety. Remove empty cartons, pallets, and other debris. Inform immediate supervisor of safety issues.

•High school degree or equivalent
•1+ years warehouse or material handling experience
•The ability to learn to safely operate a forklift and other material-handling equipment

Purpose of Position: To ensure the Company's objectives are met in the areas of loading and unloading freight, and providing direct customer service.

As a warehouse clerk you will:

    • Responsible for inspecting merchandise received, validating its integrity and accuracy on inventory.
  • Perform duties in accordance with Company's safety rules and operating regulations.
    • Reports any break in safety regulations to management.
    • Wears proper safety equipment to perform duties according to Company policy.
    • Verifies dock gates are secured with safety chain or shut.
  • Accepts responsibility for safety and security of all Company property.
  • Maintains equipment and work area in clean and orderly condition.
  • Maintains records and files in an orderly condition.
  • Undertakes and completes other responsibilities as assigned by store management, which may include assisting with customer deliveries outside of the store.
  • Undertake and support any policy, change, system or work rules the Company implements regarding the purpose of this position.

Physical Demands:
  • Must be able to lift, stoop, bend, push or pull up to 100 pounds.
  • Must be able to sit/stand for up to a 10 hour shift.
