Working and supervising Saturday operations employees per rotation schedule

POSITION SUMMARY
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Order Picking (20%):
Review daily orders and organize process for picking.
Delegate orders to team members.

4. Mentorship & Training (25%):
Conduct new employee training to help them to properly pick orders.
Act as a resource if they are having trouble locating an item.
Ensure new associates are following safety and housekeeping protocols guide as necessary.
Provide ongoing support, training and act as escalation point.
Monitor monthly safety trainings are completed.
Assist Warehouse Manager with any necessary performance coaching plans and provide support for employee development initiatives.
5. Order Loading/Un-Loading (10%):
Assist with loading of completed orders onto trucks, delivery carriers and/or customer pickups.
Assist with order unloading of LTL Carriers and truck loads.
Perform receiving duties for orders being delivered - ensure items orders are actually received, inform purchaser of any discrepancies.
Stock items located in the warehouse or deliver to purchasing party.
Correct any Purchase Order discrepancies.
Document discrepancies and maintain shipping documentation.
Assist Procurement & Accounts Payable regarding Purchase Orders/Invoices issues and corrections.
Work with Customer Service and QC team to process RMA's and carrier returns.
5. Put Aways (5%):
Review daily Put-Aways assign to team members and ensure accurate completion.
6. Inventory Audit (10%):
Assist in annual inventory audit.
Perform product counts and log.

7. Warehouse Management (20%):
Monitor daily warehouse operations and provide regular updates regarding products, inventory, shipping and employees performance to Warehouseleaders.

We're looking for a Warehouse Coordinator to join our 1st shift team at a cold storage facility on the east side of Indianapolis. Location: East Side of Indianapolis
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Pay Rate: $21.00/hour
Work Environment: Cold storage facility (ambient, refrigerated, and freezer areas)
Job Summary:As a Warehouse Coordinator, you'll play a key leadership role in managing the shipping and receiving process, maintaining accurate inventory, and ensuring efficient flow of products through all stages of the order cycle. You'll oversee logistics operations, train and guide team members, and collaborate with various departments to ensure timely and accurate deliveries. This position requires strong organization, critical thinking, and communication skills, along with the ability to adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all inbound and outbound processes, including verification of shipments and receipts
Train, lead, and support the Logistics Clerks and Receiving Team
Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure WMS data aligns with physical counts
Monitor stock, transport costs, productivity, and delivery timelines
Communicate and coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and customers
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy
Check in trucks and ensure all shipping/receiving documentation is completed accurately
Analyze and reconcile inventory data; assist with month-end and year-end audits
Promote safe work practices and adherence to warehouse and food safety standards
Collaborate with operations to maintain FIFO product flow and resolve customer concerns
What You'll Need:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in inventory management or warehouse coordination
Proven leadership experience and strong team development skills
Proficiency in Excel, WMS systems (Deposco or similar), and data reporting
Strong communication and organizational abilities
Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a high-volume environment
Basic accounting knowledge related to inventory and warehouse functions
Ability to work in cold environments (ambient, refrigerated, and freezer areas)
Dependability, flexibility, and willingness to work beyond standard hours when needed
