The Warehouse Technician supports all warehouse operations, including receiving, staging, storage, and shipping of materials. This position ensures products and materials are handled safely and accurately to maintain product quality, food safety, and operational efficiency. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Safely operate material handling equipment, including sit-down/stand-up forklifts, pallet jacks, and riding walkie trucks. Perform daily inspections on all warehouse equipment and report maintenance needs. Load and unload trucks while following load securement and allergen control procedures. Maintain accurate inventory by following FIFO processes and properly recording lot information. Stage ingredients and packaging for upcoming production runs; ensure correct tempering and storage procedures. Return products from production areas to warehouse storage with proper documentation. Keep warehouse areas clean and organized in accordance with sanitation standards. Participate in safety programs including lockout/tagout, chemical handling, and machine guarding. Identify and report safety or quality issues to the appropriate department. Provide excellent internal customer service to the production department. Assist with visitor check-in and ensure compliance with facility security protocols. Support cross-training and cover other warehouse roles as directed. Report food safety problems to personnel with authority to initiate action. Required Holidays and Weekends Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Prior warehouse experience preferred. Forklift and pallet jack operation experience required. Strong communication and organizational skills. Detail-oriented with ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Physical Requirements Stand for long periods (up to 6+ hours per shift). Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and push/pull up to 75 lbs with assistance. Work in cold environments (cooler and freezer areas). Comfortable working at heights up to 85 feet. Frequent walking, occasional bending and twisting. The purpose of this job is to prepare and process shipments of crop input products for our customers as well as deliver those products to those customers. This job significantly contributes to Pratum's overall mission, which is to be an agricultural cooperative dedicated to innovative solutions, excellent service, and long-term relationships. The following are specific tasks and responsibilities related to this position, but the position may require other duties and special projects as assigned.
