Reports To: Assistant Plant Manager
As part of the extrusion management team, provides leadership to the organization with regard to meeting established KPIs, plant goals and initiatives. Ensures a safe working environment and safe working practices are adhered to in the plant, specifically in the shipment department. The duties of this position require a high degree of initiative and follow through, ensuring projects and tasks are followed through to completion.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Safety - ensures all employees are following safe work practices.
Supervises truck loading, shipping and receiving
Communicates with Foreman of all shifts on all shipping related duties
Directs Shipping personnel to their assignments at the start of the shift.
Oversees other shipping department meetings as required.
Document returns (RMA) and works with Plant Manager, Sales, and Production to resolve issues and satisfy customer needs.
Ensures effective and efficient operation of shipping departments
Analyze prior day shipments compared to plan and work with others to resolve issues.
Ensure accurate production and shipping history is entered into EPICS.
Provides training and counseling for department employees
Schedule all trucking shipments and maintain all DOT and company paperwork for compliance
Provide 24 hr contact availability for drivers to address issues and for support
Maintain all maintenance records on company trucks and equipment
Work with outside trucking firms for shipping overflow.
Orders all supplies for department and works with vendors
Supervisory Responsibilities
Manages subordinates for all shifts of the shipping department.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Unload trailers that arrive at the center. Check and record trailer inventory for accuracy and accountability.
Rotate warehouse inventory to ensure product freshness. Adheres to all policies and procedures relating to product age and quality.
Properly maintain and track returned, stale and damaged product on trailers.
Maintain accurate daily inventory balances.
Assists in the inventory validation of incoming shipments from vendors or other warehouse/stores with accuracy as well as assist in periodic inventory counts.
Builds pallets and orders as needed and directed to support successful order fulfillment.
Prioritize and select inventory to fill orders and stage product of unloading/loading.
Operate lift trucks, pallet jacks, and other equipment to move parts to the appropriate locations. Load and unload freight trucks as necessary

Maintain the warehouse including, but not limited to, ensuring pathways and exits are clear of obstructions.
Provide back-up to sales routes on an as-needed basis.

Requirements
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

This role must appropriately handle all materials following company policies and procedures to ensure a safe workplace and may need to drive a company vehicle occasionally.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Unload trailers that arrive at the center. Check and record trailer inventory for accuracy and accountability.
Rotate warehouse inventory to ensure product freshness. Adheres to all policies and procedures relating to product age and quality.
Properly maintain and track returned, stale and damaged product on trailers.
Maintain accurate daily inventory balances.
Assists in the inventory validation of incoming shipments from vendors or other warehouse/stores with accuracy as well as assist in periodic inventory counts.
Builds pallets and orders as needed and directed to support successful order fulfillment.
Prioritize and select inventory to fill orders and stage product of unloading/loading.
Operate lift trucks, pallet jacks, and other equipment to move parts to the appropriate locations. Load and unload freight trucks as necessary
Complete trailer inspections and document where applicable.
Maintain the warehouse including, but not limited to, ensuring pathways and exits are clear of obstructions.
Provide back-up to sales routes on an as-needed basis.

Receives incoming materials, verifies quantities, and stores items in designated areas. Ensures proper organization to facilitate easy retrieval.
Fulfills production orders by accurately picking materials from inventory and delivering them to the appropriate production areas.
Performs visual inspections of materials for damage or defects and reports any issues to supervisors.
Keeps detailed records of material transactions, updates inventory systems, and completes necessary paperwork.
Performs other duties as assigned or directed by Team Leader or Supervisor.
Maintains good housekeeping and follows established safety procedures.
Follows all policies, procedures, and work instructions including Employee Handbook, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Manufacturing Operating Procedures (MOPs), Job Safety Analysis (JSAs), and Safety Manual.
Maintains awareness of individual contribution to and impact of the quality, safety, environmental, and product compliance policies and activities; reports all quality issues, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions to the proper personnel.
Additional Expectation
Remain compliant with the Code of Conduct and Policies which includes the Kingspan Group Compliance Policy.
Ensure that all duties related to product compliance are adhered to in accordance with the Product Compliance Policy, Laws, Regulations, and market demands.
Responsible for all tasks to achieve compliance goals and demands of the Compliance Management System.
Must raise concerns related to the Compliance Management System to their supervisor, manager, or any member of the Leadership Team, or through the confidential whistle blower service.
What You'll Bring
High School Diploma or GED; or equivalent experience.
2+ years warehouse and shipping experience required.
Must have basic math skills.
Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions.
Able to work in a team environment and interface with a diverse workforce.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
Must be able to operate the following equipment: Forklift, Combi-Lift.
Must have current and valid Driver's License.
Must be computer literate, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Products.
Ability to use online real-time manufacturing control systems, including MAPICS or other current in-house computer processes.
Ability to use various tools and measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, tape measure, dial indicator, and feeler gauges.
Able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and crouch for an 8-hour shift.
Must be able to use hands and fingers to handle or feel machinery, equipment or parts and work near moving mechanical parts.
