TITLE: Material Handler
DEPARTMENT: Logistics
REPORTS TO: Logistics Supervisor
Coordinates and executes movement of inventory throughout the facility to support manufacturing, shipping, receiving and inventory control functions as directed. Load and unload trucks. Record all appropriate transactions into ERP/MRP system to maintain accurate inventory counts & records. Assist with all phases of picking, packaging, and shipping of customer orders.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Thoroughly understand and adhere to the department's goals, objectives, and strategy
Establish and maintain credibility throughout the organization as an effective developer of solutions
Present and maintain positive morale among employees
Load and unload trucks, sort as necessary and process documents as directed
Pick material and deliver to workstations or staging areas
Pick and pack customer orders
Put away and replenish inventory and supplies in appropriate locations
Maintain inventory accuracy and adhere to cycle count schedule
Identify and label material with correct part number and descriptions
Weigh scrap containers, log as necessary, load on truck
Assist with receiving material as directed and record transactions into the ERP / MRP system on a timely basis
Prepare shipments of material for outside operations, and issue corresponding work orders as directed
Complete daily inspections of equipment as directed prior to use
Other tasks and functions as assigned by supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum 1 year experience preferred working in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
Certified with forklift and powered pallet jack operation within 6 weeks of hire date
Flexible, energetic, forward-thinking, and creative with high moral and ethical standards
Strong work ethic, good judgment, and strong operational focus
Well-organized and self-directed
Able to relate to people at all levels of the organization in a positive fashion
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; working knowledge of computer applications
Working knowledge of ERP / MRP and inventory location system necessary
Capable of high attention to detail and transaction accuracy
Ability to identify all S&S products and identify visual quality concerns

About the Role

Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments using warehouse software
Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks
Maintain up-to-date records of inventory using warehouse software
Organize items to company standards
Maintain a safe and clean work environment

Requirements
Strong computer skills and proficiency with Google Workspace, inventory management software, and shipping platforms (UPS/FedEx/USPS)
Ability to operate forklift, hand truck, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment
Ability to lift or move heavy products and stand for extended periods
Good attendance record
Ability to handle multiple tasks
High school diploma or equivalent
