Job Summary:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership & Oversight
Supervise, mentor, and schedule the Receiving team to ensure efficient day-to-day operations.
Provide training, coaching, and performance feedback to team members.
Maintain a proactive, accountable, and high-performing team culture.

Receiving Operations
Oversee all inbound shipments and verify accuracy of part numbers, revisions, quantities, and documentation.
Ensure compliance with AS9100, ITAR, and customer-specific requirements.
Review Certificates of Conformance (C of C), material certs, test reports, and traceability documents.
Coordinate inspection activities with Quality and verify appropriate disposition of materials.
Maintain an organized workflow for receiving, inspection hold, MRB items, and material staging.
Ensure all receipts are processed accurately in the ERP system (Epicor).
Maintain complete digital records for audit readiness and traceability.
Drive compliance with material handling, storage, and documentation SOPs.
Support internal and external audits (AS9100, DCMA, customer audits).
Identify and escalate discrepancies, nonconformances, and supplier documentation issues.
Partner with Procurement to resolve receiving issues and supplier documentation gaps.
Communicate receiving status, roadblocks, and risks to manager.
Identify process gaps and implement improvements to reduce delays, errors, and rework.
Support Lean initiatives focused on workflow optimization, 5S, and material movement efficiency.
Recommend system or process enhancements to strengthen receiving effectiveness.
General
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Support communication between departments to ensure alignment of production and logistics goals.
Perform additional duties as assigned
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
3-5 years of experience in receiving, warehouse, or material handling within aerospace, defense, or a highly regulated industry.
1-3 years of supervisory or team lead experience is required.
Strong knowledge of AS9100/ISO requirements.
High School Diploma.
Knowledge of ITAR compliance and defense industry documentation standards.
Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (EPICOR highly desirable).
Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a warehouse environment when needed.
Working knowledge of root cause analysis and nonconformance handling (NCR/MRB).
Forklift certification or ability to be trained.
Lean/5S experience.
