    Materials Handler Supervisor Part-Time, Seasonal Now - Mid June The Materials Handler Supervisor oversees and coordinates all activities related to the movement, storage, accuracy, and distribution of materials within warehouse, stockroom, and fulfillment environments. This role ensures that materials handling operations are executed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with organizational standards and service-level expectations. The supervisor provides direct leadership to materials handling operations staff, setting clear performance expectations and maintaining a high level of accuracy and productivity. Responsibilities include monitoring daily workflows, assigning tasks, training team members, enforcing safety protocols, and ensuring proper use of material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and other lifting devices. This position plays a key role in maintaining inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, and adherence to standardized processes. The Materials Handler Supervisor collaborates closely with management and fulfillment teams to support operational goals, resolve logistical issues, and drive continuous improvement. Success in this role requires strong organizational skills, effective communication, and the ability to lead a team in fast-paced, dynamic environments while upholding safety, quality, and efficiency standards. Compensation: $20.00/hour Expected Hours: 24-30 hours/week Seasonal from now -mid-June Essential Duties: Supervisory Supervise materials handling operations Managing, training, and mentoring material handling employees to ensure tasks are completed correctly and efficiently. Assist the Assistant Warehouse Manager or Warehouse Manager with performance review as necessary. Be able to fulfill duties in the absence of the Assistant Warehouse Manager or the Warehouse Manager. Inventory Management Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and quality. Identify any missing, lost, or damaged products and immediately notify the supervisor. Stock, organize, and replenish inventory in both warehouse and stockroom locations. Perform routine cycle counts and assist with physical inventories. Maintain accurate records in inventory systems and update stock levels as required. Preparing and presenting reports on metrics, performance, and inventory levels to management. Material Handling & Equipment Operation Safely operate certified material-handling equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, electric pallet jacks (“paddle jacks”), and other approved equipment. Move products between warehouse and stockroom locations as needed to support business demands. Load and unload trucks, deliveries, and outbound shipments. Workflow Support Pick and prepare materials for internal departments or customer orders. Assist with staging, sorting, packing, and organizing materials to support daily operations. Coordinate with warehouse and stockroom leads/supervisors/managers to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Safety & Compliance Follow all safety protocols, OSHA regulations, ABC policies and company guidelines when operating equipment or handling inventory. Maintain clean, safe, and orderly work areas in all locations. Report any unsafe conditions, incidents, or equipment issues immediately. Cross-Location Coordination Travel between warehouse and stockroom and other estate locations/facilities as scheduled to provide operational support. Communicate effectively with both teams to ensure inventory accuracy and workflow alignment. Support special projects, transfers, and stock consolidations between locations. The environment can be fast-paced, with exposure to moving equipment, shelving, and frequent handling of merchandise. Noise levels are moderate, and temperatures may vary depending on the season and building conditions. Physical Requirements: Employees must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, lift and carry packages up to 50 pounds, and perform repetitive motions such as picking, packing, loading, unloading and scanning. The role requires bending, reaching, climbing ladders, and operating carts or pallet jacks. Attention to accuracy and efficiency is essential.
