Complete carton orders as assigned utilizing FIFO procedures and accurately recording all information.
Maintain accurate inventory by correctly identifying and recording lot information during all phases of the warehouse process.
Return product to the warehouse from the production area while recording quantities and lot information after production runs are complete.
Maintain proper staging of all ingredients/packaging for three days of production as required.
Ensure that correct tempering procedures are followed while storing or staging ingredients.
Check in visitors that request entry into the facility while properly logging them into our online system.
Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with all team members and departments.

Move and wrap completed products.
Assist the Shift Leads to start and stop the pellet mills.

Job Description
East West Tea Company is seeking a talented, passionate, and experienced Warehouse Associate to join our team on Day shift (6:00am- 2:30pm, Monday - Friday). This role includes product handling, order fulfillment and general warehouse responsibilities. The successful candidate will interact with our production and warehouse teams on a daily basis and be an essential part of our operations.
WHAT YOU'LL OWN:
Duties may include, but are not limited to the following:
Product Handling:
o Receive finished goods into warehouse; verify quantity, item number, and lot
o Perform stock rotation to ensure product stored in alignment with FEFO
o Palletize product in accordance with established guidelines and customer specific requirements
o Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and shrink-wrapping equipment - see job requirements
o Perform finished goods cycle counts as requested
o Re-stock finished goods, as needed
Order Fulfillment:
o Pick product accurately - see job requirements
o Follow established guidelines to ensure document accuracy (especially in the case of back orders and multiple pickers on a given order)
o Communicate all questions relating to product quality, order accuracy, pick list notes, or order fulfillment to Shipping Administrator, Lead or Customer Service
General Warehouse:
o Complete computer transactions and paperwork accurately and in a timely manner
o Support team initiatives and special projects as required
o Provide back-up to a minimum of one other functional area within the warehouse
o Pick up trash, broken pallet splinters etc. and deposit in appropriate receptacles
o Follow GMPs & Safety guidelines, including appropriate wardrobe, hair coverings, personal protective equipment and footwear at all times.

WHAT YOU KNOW AND HAVE EXPERIENCED:
• Ability to load and unload all sizes of trucks using a forklift.
• Maintain required paperwork for transporting and operating the vehicle.
• Enter data accurately and completely into computer system.
• Write Legibly on all documents
• Complete paperwork uniformly and consistently
• Understand and follow posted, written and verbal work instructions
• Accurately add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure
• Work flexible schedule as needed (seasonally or otherwise)
• Maintain positive working relationships with carriers, vendors, and all levels within the organization (internal customers)
• Operate company equipment in a safe and courteous manner at all times

Work Environment:
• Work is done primarily in a warehouse or factory environment with exposure to noise and machinery.
• May involve frequent exposure to production environment which includes noise, dust, moving machinery, forklifts, and fluctuations in temperature.
Physical Requirements:
• Repeated climbing in and out of forklift.
• Finger dexterity is required as well as hand strength, with the ability to grasp, lift, push and pull.
• Lifting and twisting along with considerable walking on concrete floors
• Pushing or pulling non-motorized rolling warehouse equipment.
• Work involves considerable standing, stooping, bending, or sitting for long periods of time and can include lifting and carrying packages that typically weigh less than 50lbs.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Ability to safely operate a forklift
• Ability to load and unload truck trailers of all sizes
• Previous experience in general warehouse, material handling and or shipping experience.

The Warehouse Technician supports all warehouse operations, including receiving, staging, storage, and shipping of materials. This position ensures products and materials are handled safely and accurately to maintain product quality, food safety, and operational efficiency.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Safely operate material handling equipment, including sit-down/stand-up forklifts, pallet jacks, and riding walkie trucks.
Perform daily inspections on all warehouse equipment and report maintenance needs.
Load and unload trucks while following load securement and allergen control procedures.
Maintain accurate inventory by following FIFO processes and properly recording lot information.
Stage ingredients and packaging for upcoming production runs; ensure correct tempering and storage procedures.
Return products from production areas to warehouse storage with proper documentation.
Keep warehouse areas clean and organized in accordance with sanitation standards.
Participate in safety programs including lockout/tagout, chemical handling, and machine guarding.
Identify and report safety or quality issues to the appropriate department.
Provide excellent internal customer service to the production department.
Assist with visitor check-in and ensure compliance with facility security protocols.
Support cross-training and cover other warehouse roles as directed.
Report food safety problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.
Required Holidays and Weekends
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Prior warehouse experience preferred.
Forklift and pallet jack operation experience required.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Detail-oriented with ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Physical Requirements
Stand for long periods (up to 6+ hours per shift).
Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and push/pull up to 75 lbs with assistance.
Work in cold environments (cooler and freezer areas).
Comfortable working at heights up to 85 feet.
Frequent walking, occasional bending and twisting.
