SUMMARY DESCRIPTION
Under the general supervision of the assigned department administrator, perform a full range of warehouse duties; receive, store, and distribute materials, supplies, and equipment to support District operations. This position ensures accurate inventory management, timely on and off campus deliveries, and adherence to safety protocols within the warehouse and distribution areas.
DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS
Warehouse worker works under general supervision and handles minor issues independently. This classification requires above entry-level warehouse and inventory management skills.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or a General Education Degree (GED)

Two (2) years of warehouseoperations experience.

* Receive and store stock and supply items; verify deliveries against purchase orders and budget numbers for accuracy; inspect merchandise for damage and discrepancies; coordinate with vendors to resolve shortages or defects.

Truck Driver will safely manage and ensure orderly distribution of products by pulling orders from inventory and delivering/retrieving them to outside vendors. You will work under the directions of the Warehouse Supervisor and be a member of the warehouse team. This individual will also support nVent goals in any way that management request with a positive attitude.
When not operating the company truck; employee will be expected to operate as Logistics Material Handler.
What YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
* Move stock items from staging area and place in proper bin location.
* Count, weight, verify and post quantities in the computer.
* Issue parts and materials for manufacturing requirements as requested; stage in appropriate area as required for delivery to the plant.
* Work from picking tickets to select stock to fill customer orders; arrange loose items in tote pans, stage pans and cartons for packaging operation.
* Take cycle counts of stock items as scheduled.
* Use material handling equipment, as necessary, to move materials in the performance of duties.
* Replenish material when necessary.
* Count and verify stock against customer order prior to packaging.
* Select proper container for most economical use of packaging material and proper protection of items.
* Cut lumber with the use of hand or power equipment to construct special shipping containers.
* Position product to prevent damage and obtain proper distribution of packaging material; close and seal container; apply label or mark special designations; shrink and band skids, load trucks as directed.
* Report faulty equipment, defective material, and unusual conditions to supervisor.
* Able to drive a box truck requiring a Class C license or the ability to obtain the license needed
* Observe all prescribed safety rules and regulations and maintain work area in a neat and orderly condition.
* Perform other duties as assigned or directed which may require more than the normal shift hours or work week to meet company needs.
You have:
* High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
* Must pass a DOT drug screen and Physical, has or able to get a Class C license.
* Previous warehouse experience of at least 1 year, in a manufacturing setting is preferred.
* Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
* Computer skills including data entry, retrieval, and word processing.
* Ability to read basic blueprints.
* Ability to use measuring tools (Dial indicators, Micrometer, and Caliber).
* Ability to communicate with customer, associates, and management.
* Ability to be a self-starter and detail oriented.
* Ability to respond calmly and effectively to pressure.
* Exercise initiative in organizing and completing multiple tasks.
* Must be able to work with a flexible schedule depending on the business needs
* Heavy lifting required (50 plus lbs.); Ability to bend, twist, reach, climb, pull, push, stand and squat.
* Ability to work effectively in a TEAM environment required.

Pay Transparency
nVent's pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee's work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. ABOUT THIS ROLE
The Warehouse role is to assemble and deliver customer orders accurately and in a timely manner.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Participate in area maintenance to include cleaning floors, work tables and stations, distribution office, repack areas, receiving areas and staging areas.
Perform preventative maintenance on forklifts and other material handling equipment to include ensuring fork lifts are connected to electrical recharges on a daily basis.
Communication with customers, base supply managers and other employees.
QUALIFICATIONS
High School Graduate, with two years relevant training.
Through working knowledge of Warehouseoperations.
Forklift experience is required. Warehouse experience in the military or commercial environment is required.
