The Shipping operator is a role in the Plant Distribution Center (PDC) at A&M Products in Spring Hill, KS.
The PDC is responsible for safely and efficiently managing finished goods inventory.
12-Hour Shift (4:30 PM - 5:00 AM), Monday through Wednesday & every 3rd Sunday.

In this role, you will:
Follow all required procedures to safely operator a forklift

Maintain Wrapper stretch-wrap refill quantities, cleanliness on and around the wrapper / conveyors, and troubleshoot the Wrapper during malfunctions
Perform minor automatic wrapper troubleshooting and report major malfunctions to maintenance
Deliver work order material, components and packaging items to machine promptly
Return work order material, components and packaging items to staging and return locations as defined
Conduct banding, slip sheet, and dust cover applications when required by work order
Maintain 5S standard locations throughout the facility and follow all standard processes relevant to the position

JOB SUMMARY
Material Handler positions assist with the timely fulfillment and delivery of products from the warehouse.
Material Handler I: Entry-level warehouse associate who is not Power Industrial Truck (PIT) certified. This level performs activities that do not require operating heavy machinery (e.g., moving product from reachable racks, using RF guns, etc.). ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Unloading: Facilitating unloading, separation, and palletization of materials
Put-away: Scanning and moving product from one location to its destination location (performs secondary scans at final location to ensure accuracy)
Residual Picking: Selecting individual items from the warehouse inventory to satisfy demand, scanning bin locations, item, and counting them to ensure proper item and quantities picked
Induction: Working an automated sorting table, scanning UPCs to load product onto the correct robots; utilizing a computer to systematically sort product at high speeds
Closeout: Using an RF scanner to complete an order and place it on a static conveyer to be sent to packing

Associates will be operating state-of-the-art casting and punch press machinery. Responsibilities include meeting production goals; following standardized work practices, material handling; quality checks; and embracing lean initiatives.
This is a **12-hour** continental shift schedule (2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 2 days off), offering both **day and night** shift options.

**Responsibilities**

+ Set up and run all equipment per established standard operating procedures
+ Crosstrain on all functions of the operation (Casting, Punch, and Material Handling)
+ Must have strong mechanical ability to run equipment and make necessary adjustments when needed
+ Responsible for daily production reports and making accurate production counts
+ Perform appropriate 5s tasks as needed
+ Participate in training and development programs including all areas of environmental, health and safety issues, especially those dealing with proper handling of hazardous materials and hazardous waste
+ Performs other responsibilities and duties assigned by supervisor
**Qualifications**
+ Basic math, reading, and writing skills
+ Must be able to work at fast pace
+ Must have good work record, attendance, and possess good communication skills
+ Must be available to work overtime as needed
+ Must have experience in mechanically related field.
+ Must be highly motivated and able to work independently
+ Must be able to complete post offer background check and drug screen
+ High School diploma/GED preferred, not required
**Physical Demands**

**Work Environment**
Able to work inside or outside the plant environment and in all climate conditions. The employee may occasionally be exposed to lead, fume, noise, dirt, hazards, chemicals, heat and cold. Travel as required for training, meeting with regulatory agencies, and to other company sanctioned events.
