Typical Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage the Inventory Control departments of multiple accounts to ensure the integrity of the inventory and that all procedures and processes are followed and completed in a timely manner and in accordance with client requirements, system requirements, company policy, ISO guidelines, Sarbanes Oxley and other regulatory requirements.
Plan, execute and reconcile physical inventories.
Oversee daily cycle counts, audits and reconciliation of activities between systems in accordance with contractual commitments.

Resolve discrepancies and high-value variances through established investigative processes and in accordance with contractual obligations.

Requirements:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to develop and document processes, procedures, and write policies.

Advanced skill in creating Excel Spreadsheets for analysis in the use of macros, pivot tables, v-lookup, formulas for calculating results and reporting variances.
High degree of accuracy, attention to detail and a demonstrated ability to analyze complex transactional processes. Excellent planning, time management, collaboration, decision making, organization, presentation and negotiating skills.

The City of Independence is recruiting for an Electric Distribution Manager. This position will oversee the construction, operation, and maintenance of the City's transmission and distribution division. This position will be open until filled. GENERAL PURPOSE
Performs a variety of managerial duties. Plans, coordinates, and manages the construction, operation, and maintenance of the City's transmission and distribution division to include supervision of overhead and underground facilities, substation facilities, meter shop and the vegetation management program.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED & EXERCISED
This position performs work under the broad policy guidance and direction of the Power & Light Director.
Provides close to general supervision to various superintendents and/or support staff.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The Electric Distribution Manager may perform a combination of some or all of the following duties, and perform related duties as assigned.
General Duties
Perform supervisory functions in accordance with City policies, procedures and applicable laws including: job skills training; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Planning, directing and supervising personnel and equipment performing essential duties required to construct and maintain power transmission, distribution, and substation systems.
Provide support and management oversight to the division superintendents to maximize labor, equipment, and planning processes to ensure successful execution of department projects.
Coordinate with System Operations and Engineering Divisions to ensure combined goals of the Department are met.
Develop and implement plans, policies and programs which promote improved, safety, reliability and efficient operations of Transmission and Distribution System.

Responsible for ensuring system improvements are identified and applied.
Identify and implement processes and procedures.
Identify and establish plans and goals to improve the operations of the transmission and distributions system including cost effectiveness, timeliness and reliability.
Support, develop and manage technical skills and safety methods training of field personnel.
Follows and enforce all safety protocols established by City and safety standards.
Develop, communicate, and oversee policies, procedures, and standards for the department and make improvement recommendations when necessary.
Identify and develop potential sources for supplies, materials, equipment, and services that meet quality and price expectations.
Maintain familiarity with the latest NERC Standards and that the standards are implemented in the operation of the electric system.
Oversee and direct all outage response actions according to the Power & Light Department Emergency Response Standard Operating Procedures.
Manage union labor relations including meeting with city and utility management, business associates, customers, regulating agencies, advisory boards, special interest groups, neighboring utility officials and other members of the community for the purpose of discussing electric service, power supply and broad utility/energy policies and issues.
Oversee and direct contract services including, but not limited to, vegetation management, underground locating, construction and maintenance of facilities, etc., reviewing weekly time records and monthly production reports.
Investigate all complaints, property damage reports and file written recommendation to the city's law department.
Plan, manage and control department's financial resources through defining and developing operations, maintenance and construction budgets.
Develop, recommend, monitor and oversee department annual operating budget.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
Graduation from college with an associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school;
AND
Four (4) years of experience in utility, power, light and general municipal government;
OR
An equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
Special Requirements and/or Qualifications:
Current Journey Lineman status.
Must possess a valid driver's license.

About the Position
The Warehouse Lead is responsible for acting as a coach/leader of warehouse associates. The job is responsible to coach and train teammates to fulfill their individual daily tasks in addition to the Lead's own tasks. The Lead may have various responsibilities based on the specific department, this can include, but is not limited to shipping/receiving, packaging, inventory control, general warehouse functions or material handling operators (i.e. forklift operators). The lead will provide backup to the supervisor as needed.

Schedule: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 6am to 6:30pm
Functions
Train new warehouse associates and forklift drivers and conduct Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) and annual recertification training.
Conduct EIP, performance, and maintenance observations.
Safely operate powered industrial equipment to move products or materials for distribution such as clamp/slip sheet equipment; load, unload, and store materials/products in designated areas.
Complete applicable paperwork (i.e. shipping/tracking labels) per standard operating procedures and applicable regulatory agencies (i.e. DOT, IATA, IMDG, etc.)
Participate in inventory/cycle count activities as needed and report variances to leadership.
Perform daily safely inspections per the Safety Checklist on forklift trucks
Ensure facility is inspection ready at all times for SQFI, FDA, and customer needs.
Communicate and report any incidents to supervisor
Ensure product rotation procedures are followed.
Review and Analyze daily production reports.
Serve as backup to other warehouse roles, as needed.
Depending on specific department other duties may apply.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED preferred and be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
Minimum 2 years prior warehouse/distribution operations experience and 6 months experience related leadership or supervisory experience and/or training in a distribution environment.
Must be a licensed forklift operator or be able to obtain a Forklift Operator license.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, Systems, or a closely related technical/analytical field.
Minimum of 5 years of supply chain or logistics experience, with significant experience in driving large-scale logistics systems implementation and improvement (e.g., WMS, TMS, YMS and ERP logistics modules), warehouse and transportation process improvements (eg: piece picking, D2C, Truck Utilization, TLB), WH storage densification, Logistics Network design and Logistics transformational initiatives.
Proven proficiency in using data and analytical tools to assess and execute process improvements.

Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $104,000.00 - $150,000.00 USD
