Report and clear indications of "out of stock" or "overstocked" conditions developing. * Administrative duties as related to warehouse functions. * Supervise minor maintenance and sanitation as needed. * Involved in and recommend hiring, promotions, terminations, performance appraisals and labor standards. * Maintain a high level of customer service for retail and public customers. * Cultivate an engaged and innovative work environment. * Strive for fast continuous systematic planned improvement. * Coach hourly associates towards high productivity, safety and quality performance. * Demonstrate effective leadership skills. * Leverage technology systems to investigate operational issues. * Coordinate the weekly associate work schedule. * Coordinate with other cross functional departments, such as transportation, inventory and facilities. Qualifications: * 3-5 years' experience in warehousing, strong general knowledge of warehouse operations, prior experience to include lead, foreman or other supervisory duties. * Understanding of warehouse regulations regarding quality and safety. * Strong interpersonal, communication, and team building skills. * Excellent organizational skills with a high degree of initiative and flexibility. * Good analytical and problem-solving skills. * Considerable initiative and frequent analysis necessary in daily work. * Excellent customer service skills with both internal and external customers. * Proven ability to define performance measures related to the business and hold associates accountable for the same. * Ability to analyze cost performance data to improve operations and reduce costs. * Must possess the following traits: sense of urgency, engaging interpersonal skills, proactive, risk taker, change agent and strong sense of courage. * Must be comfortable at giving and receiving open feedback. * Able to supervise a medium size group of warehouse employees. * Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint, experience with EXE helpful. * Willingness to work any schedule to include days, evenings, night shifts, weekends and holidays. PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT: * Most work is performed under typical warehouse conditions. * Potential hazards exist in regard to machinery such as forklifts, pallet jacks, mechanized systems, movement of tractors and trailers, etc. * Temperatures in the warehouse may vary between -20 to 70 degrees. Noise levels in all areas are within acceptable tolerance ranges for those specific work areas. * Incumbent may sit for periods of time at a desk or computer terminal. * Incumbent may stand or walk about the Distribution Center for periods of time. * Incumbent will use calculators, keyboards, telephone, and other office equipment in the course of the workday. * Must be flexible on work hours and shifts.
