Plant 2 Warehouse Supervisor role is responsible for leading and supervising Warehouse Persons in the safe, efficient and accurate receipt, storage and on-time shipment of finished products while driving improvements in safety and cost control. They leverage the full value of employees through coaching, feedback, and assignments - through periodic job performance reviews as needed. This is a salaried exempt, day shift position.
Responsibilities:
Coach and encourage employees to perform warehouse work in a safe, efficient and reliable manner, foster teamwork and pride in the crew, and communicate plant goals, standards and direction, and ensure accountability
Ensure that the workplace is free of harassment, discrimination and that individuals are treated with respect
Ensure that all work is done in accordance with applicable policies, standards, procedures, and protocol, coordinate and support Distribution ISO procedures.
Coordinate Warehouse activities with the Distribution Superintendent, Scheduler, and other personnel as appropriate; maintain on-going communications with these parties concerning job status, problems that may arise, and recommended solutions
Develop, coordinate and issue daily instructions for personnel to meet all day-to-day objectives with respect to safety, environmental control, efficiency, reliability and productivity
Monitoring and verification of warehouse inventory; complete cycle counts
Prepares, sorts, prioritizes and issues customer orders and intercompany transfers (cross-dock) to Warehouse Staff
Oversee the timely receipt and put away of new production as well as the receipt of raw materials for the plant
Conduct scheduled Safety Meetings as well as daily Toolbox Talks, and ensure ongoing compliance of safety rules, safe work practices, and housekeeping and perform safety audits
Ensure scheduled shipments are shipped on time working with Distribution Specialists, IBP, and CSR's
Complete weekly and monthly reporting requirements to support distribution.
Monitor and track costs associated with the ASH 2 warehouse along with the goods receipt of invoices
Active involvement in any other warehouse-related activities or duties
Operational Safety: Knowledge of methods, accepted practices, considerations and regulatory requirements associated with safety and protection of workers, environment and site
Organizational Awareness: Knowledge of the organization's vision and goals, major functional processes, operating principles and requirements, values and code of ethics; ability to apply this understanding appropriately to diverse situations
You should possess:
A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required
Possess a minimum of five (5)) years of related experience in a manufacturing environment.
Supervisory and coordination skills
Knowledge or various mechanical equipment and machinery
Functionality with various computer programs, specifically Microsoft Office Suite and SAP
Competencies:
Acting with integrity, building relationships, communicating openly and honestly, committing to safety and respect for the environment, team orientation, initiative, high personal standards.
