Our Transportation Manager provides for the transportation and parking needs of our guests at Snowshoe mountain resort. This position supervises 40+ employees including the DOT compliance and training Supervisor, Operations Supervisor, Maintenance Supervisor, Shuttle drivers and Shuttle Supervisor. Recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training, scheduling, coaching, and disciplining staff for the shuttle service. Purchasing, managing, and overseeing maintenance of material resources. Arranging for and administering the Commercial Drivers Safety Program. Compiling and analyzing data pertaining to the shuttle service. Preparing, administering, and monitoring the operating budget of the shuttle service, and making recommendations for the capital budget. Researching vehicle specifications and availability to make recommendations for the capital budget. Preparing regular performance and wage reviews and providing coaching feedback as needed. Analyzing data and preparing reports as needed. Monitoring, implementing, controlling, and revising the daily operations of the shuttle service as needed. Scheduling random drug testing for the DOT program. Staying updated on resort events and occupancy levels. Continually strive to improve shuttle service by dispersing information to drivers. Changing signage as needed to improve guest service. Analyzing and responding to guest service complaints. Assisting other departments for special requests. Work with leasing companies to renew or produce vehicle leases. Adjust and adapt to changing conditions of the resort and re-route vehicle as needed. Ensure that all vehicles meet cleanliness standards, both interior and exterior, to represent the Domino's brand. Coordinate with external service providers for specialized maintenance and cleaning tasks as needed. Operations Management: Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to vehicle operation and safety. Implement and enforce safety protocols to ensure the well-being of drivers and the public. Maintain accurate records of vehicle registrations, insurance, and inspection reports. On-Call and Flexible Scheduling: Be available for on-call responsibilities to address urgent fleet-related issues outside of regular working hours. Maintain a flexible schedule to meet the dynamic needs of the fleet operations. Fleet Budget Management: Manage the fleet budget, including expenses related to fuel, maintenance, and repairs. Monitor and control costs to ensure financial efficiency. Prepare and present budget reports to senior management. Team Leadership and Development: Supervise and support delivery drivers, providing guidance and resolving any issues that arise. Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to drivers. Foster a positive and productive work environment, promoting teamwork and employee engagement. Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties as assigned to meet the evolving needs of the organization. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Must have a clean background and Motor Vehicle Record Check. Proven experience in fleet management, vehicle maintenance, or a similar role. Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety regulations. Excellent organizational and multitasking skills. Proficiency in fleet management software and Microsoft Office Suite/Google. Strong leadership and team management abilities. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions. Flexibility to work a varied schedule and be available for on-call responsibilities. Experience working with a small business preferred.
