    Summary: Accountable for managing the integrity of the inventory within a facility and reporting inventory results to the client and the operation's management team. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, ISO guidelines, Sarbanes Oxley and other regulatory requirements. May also serve as Super User for SAP or other WMS supporting Inventory Control, shipping and receiving controls in some locations. Typical Responsibilities: Oversee and manage the Inventory Control departments of multiple accounts to ensure the integrity of the inventory and that all procedures and processes are followed and completed in a timely manner and in accordance with client requirements, system requirements, company policy, ISO guidelines, Sarbanes Oxley and other regulatory requirements. Plan, execute and reconcile physical inventories. Oversee daily cycle counts, audits and reconciliation of activities between systems in accordance with contractual commitments. Ensure timely reporting and communication to the appropriate staff. Ensure that customer requirements are reported accurately and timely, according to customer specifications and contractual obligations. Resolve discrepancies and high-value variances through established investigative processes and in accordance with contractual obligations. Organize data and provide results for management review and actions. Resolve production issues related to systems applications within the warehouse environment using technical/trouble shooting skills. Identify and/or solve operational and WMS issues within the work group to provide productive and quality results. Serve as the primary contact between the company and the client's Inventory Control team. Work collaboratively with the management team to provide recommendations and solutions to improve inventory accuracy. Identify and recommend enhancements to improve management and integrity of the inventory WMS system. Create, implement and update inventory operational Standard Operating Procedures. Develop process and procedures for vendor compliance when applicable. Support the client with all reporting and queries needed. Balance with customer to all month end buckets and reports. Utilize superior communications skills to motivate staff and develop effective working relationships with peers, executives and customers. Develop and maintain staff and organizational development programs that provide adequate levels of training, succession planning, skill enhancement and overall department efficiency and capability. Conduct annual performance reviews for all staff within department and address all employee performance problems promptly and directly in accordance with personnel policies of the Company. Keep abreast of emerging technology changes and innovations through formal or informal study, reading business and professional publications, networking and participation in professional organizations. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to develop and document processes, procedures, and write policies. Capable of communicating and interacting effectively with multi-functional and diverse backgrounds and ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, employees and customers. Capable of operating standard warehouse equipment. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of warehouse operations and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Proficient in the use of analytical techniques such as statistical probability distribution, correlation, data sampling and relating sets of numbers. PC literate. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web-based and job specific software applications including Access or similar database software. Minimum five years experience in SAP utilization, user proficiency and training, troubleshooting and resolution with programmers. Advanced skill in creating Excel Spreadsheets for analysis in the use of macros, pivot tables, v-lookup, formulas for calculating results and reporting variances. High degree of accuracy, attention to detail and a demonstrated ability to analyze complex transactional processes. Ensure the FIFO (First in First Out) inventory flow system is applied to all goods and materials Verify that the item(s) being shipped matches its label and meets the specifications required by the shipping order for size, style, quantity, etc. Resolve discrepancies between orders and products such as delays, condition, weight, quantity, etc. Earn and maintain a forklift certification. Use the forklift and other powered industrial equipment as well as non-powered equipment to safely move products within the facility. Products will also be carried by hand Follow up on any reports of damaged product and inform appropriate personnel so the problem can be corrected, and steps taken to avoid future occurrences Ensure all products are properly labeled within the facility for inventory purposes and shipping boxes are properly labeled for accurate deliveries Confirm that drivers depart with the appropriate paperwork Ensure that shipping stations are working properly and reorder shipping materials when a replenishment order is required Make safety a priority consideration with all actions taken within the department. Partner with general liability insurance provider and/or the insurance brokers' loss prevention specialists to identify and correct any potential safety hazards. Minimum five years of experience in a distribution/warehousing environment Supervisory experience is required. Manufacturing experience a plus.
