Required Education and Experience

* Monitor and restock Quick Pick locations to maintain adequate inventory levels.
* Utilizes light warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks and carts.
* Displays necessary skills needed to safely operate heavy machinery such as forklifts and larger delivery vehicles, which are used to provide pickup, delivery, and loading/unloading of CPE, materials, equipment, and mail.
* May assist in daily cycle counts to audit physical and systemic accuracy of inventory at a warehouse or assigned to boundary partner.

Earn and maintain a forklift certification. Use the forklift and other powered industrial equipment as well as non-powered equipment to safely move products within the facility. Products will also be carried by hand
Follow up on any reports of damaged product and inform appropriate personnel so the problem can be corrected, and steps taken to avoid future occurrences
Ensure all products are properly labeled within the facility for inventory purposes and shipping boxes are properly labeled for accurate deliveries
Confirm that drivers depart with the appropriate paperwork
Ensure that shipping stations are working properly and reorder shipping materials when a replenishment order is required
Make safety a priority consideration with all actions taken within the department. Partner with general liability insurance provider and/or the insurance brokers loss prevention specialists to identify and correct any potential safety hazards. Promptly respond to any OSHA inquiries
Proactively seek out safety and loss prevention feedback from team members, ensure all appropriate and required safety signage is properly posted, and utilize a safety committee or toolbox talk approach to provide feedback and training to foster a strong safety culture
Immediately treat and respond to employee injuries. Provide the required injury reports to Human Resources. Investigate the cause of all accidents and take steps to ensure similar accidents are prevented in the future.
Safeguard shipping operations and products by establishing and monitoring loss prevention security procedures and protocols
Maintain the physical condition of the warehouse facility by planning and implementing innovative design layouts when appropriate; inspecting equipment; maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and orderliness by enforcing 5S procedures; conducting Kaizen events, performing maintenance and repair of shipping equipment or issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement of damaged, broken, or worn-out equipment

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Responsible for the safe and orderly operation of the assigned trip in a manner that promotes public safety, staff safety and the secure and humane environment for inmates, detainees and/or residents.
If qualified, may be assigned as the Assistant Officer in Charge (AOIC) on trip activity unless otherwise directed by their supervisor.
Monitor and supervise inmate, detainee, and/or resident activity per TCA policy. This includes listening to complaints and effectively resolving disputes or problems, taking corrective action, protecting inmate, detainee and residents rights, and completing all required documentation in accordance with TCA policy.
Follow sound safety practices and ensure that any injuries or accidents are reported in a timely and accurate manner per TCA policy. Take appropriate action in cases of serious or unusual incidents and emergencies circumstances.
Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections and briefings as required. Maintain and promote effective communications and the proper flow of relevant information to management and fellow team members.
Maintain communication with Trip Management throughout the routed trip. Consult with Trip Management and/or Field Office Supervisor personnel in assessing situations and making decisions. Will not deviate from planned trip route unless cleared and/or directed by proper TCA authorities.
Complete preventive maintenance of equipment and ensure readiness of restraints, weapons, OIC kits, vehicles, etc.
Ensure effective management and control of resources to include inmate/detainee and/or resident medications and property.
Maintain appropriate relationships and communications when dealing with fellow staff members, all customer agencies and inmates, detainees and/or residents.
Application of restraints and the Use of Force will be strictly followed according to TCA policies and customer contract requirements.
Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
Must achieve and maintain Officer in Charge (OIC) certification to be eligible for assignment as an AOIC.
