The DOT (Department of Transportation) Program Manager (PM) is responsible for managing the implementation and ongoing operations of critical DOT compliance programs within the organization. The DOT PM will oversee all aspects of the program lifecycle, from needs analysis and requirements gathering to building implementation plans, overseeing deployment, and driving continuous improvement. They will serve as the subject matter expert, translating complex DOT regulations into actionable plans and procedures. As the SME, the DOT Program Manager will develop and deliver comprehensive training to employees on DOT compliance policies, procedures, and best practices. Essential Functions: · Executes the inventory system to accurately account for both donated and purchased products. · Serves as subject matter expert on licensing requirements of the Health Department, Maryland Food Bank (America's Second Harvest), Office of Transitional Services, Howard County Government, and other funding agencies. · Purchases food products to supplement those received through grants and donations. · Manages warehouse organization. · Operates the internal pantry process to distribute food products to eligible individuals and families. · Coordinates food bank staff and volunteer work force in keeping with Food Bank Manager's direction. · Organizes distribution of food products to Food Pantry partners. · Schedules and organizes donation pickups. · Picks up food products donated by individuals and organizations and purchased by the agency and transports it to the Food Bank. · Demonstrates a positive role model for others by maintaining the highest level of professional and ethical behavior throughout your interactions with both internal and external customers. · Uses technology for the completion of specified job duties. · Attends work regularly per assigned work schedule and in accordance with Agency policy. · Attends and participates with in-service training, staff meetings and other activities to facilitate professional development. · Works cooperatively with others including all staff, supervisors, administrators, co-workers, community professionals, clients, vendors and the public. · Follows instructions and abides by Agency policies and procedures. · Assumes other duties, responsibilities and special projects as needed Secondary Functions: · Works cooperatively and effectively with Agency volunteers maximizing the volunteers' experience while meeting the needs of the programs. · May assume additional duties in the absence of the Director as designated.
