PURPOSE AND SCOPE: The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for managing inbound and outbound inventory, and truck inventory. The Warehouse Manager will also oversee all warehouse staff, distributing responsibilities and providing direction and inspiration for their direct reports. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES: Responsible for the overall operation of the inbound and outbound functions to include inventory control. The Warehouse Manager will assist the Operations Manager in the warehouse's strategic direction and communicate initiatives to subordinates in an effective manner to achieve the expected levels of execution. Demonstrates knowledge of warehouse operations to include inbound and outbound activities, inventory, data, vendor management and profiling. Develop and implement short and long term goals and objectives for all departemnts in accordance with Ace objectives and strategic plans. Ensure all best practice procedures are followed in all areas of responsibility. Ensure accurate inventory management counts via detailed cycle counting and auditing procedures. Demonstrates the ability to create a positive employee relations environment which results in high performing teams. OCS is a program that provides a comprehensive and intense introduction to the responsibilities of Navy Staff Corps Officers over the course of approximately three months. Here they learn about the military structure of the U.S. Navy, its rich history of traditions and customs, leadership development and military etiquette. Once that training is complete, you will learn the ins and outs of life as a Supply Corps Officer through the following specialized training programs: Navy Supply School (27 weeks) in Newport, RI, for training in inventory management, food and retail operations, leadership, management and problem solving. Advanced Training Advanced training for prospective Supply Corps Officers may also be available. This specialized training may cover subjects including transportation management, freight classifications, methods of working with civilian carriers and special handling of medical goods and explosives. Collaborate with the customer service team to resolve customer inquiries and issues related to warehouse operations. Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. There will be occasional Saturday shifts to catch up on orders, receiving, and inventory prep. What you will bring: Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse management, preferably in the plumbing or HVAC industry. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities. Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehouse operations. Proficiency in warehouse management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to lift and move heavy objects, as required in a warehouse setting.
