SUMMARY: The Warehouse Manager is responsible for coordinating and supervising the shipping, receiving, skid packing, facilities, and warehouse operations. Monitor and improve shipping procedures to maximize shipping effectiveness and efficiency. Manage physical inventory and communicate inventory levels to staff and sales force. Schedule and coordinate shipments. Coordinate unloading of shipping containers, organizing and maintaining supplies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manages the warehouse and ensures the receipt, coordination and safety of goods coming through a warehouse.
Ensures that orders arrive and are dispatched on time to the appropriate destinations in the expected quantities; maintains stock records and schedules.
Supervises the receiving, storing, packing and shipping of merchandise or materials.
Monitors the work performance of assigned personnel on a continual basis; manages assigned employee promotion, transfer, pay and discipline.
Conducts effective performance appraisals, and identifies the need for disciplinary action and follows through accordingly.
Conducts regular department meetings to communicate information to include: workloads, schedules, problems, etc.
Participates in monthly management/supervisor meetings and relays pertinent information to department personnel; shares information openly and willingly.
Keeps other departments informed of pertinent information; involves others in decision making when appropriate.
Verifies the correctness of incoming shipments against bills of lading and maintains record of materials received; rejects damaged goods or materials and packing slip to purchasing for processing.
Stocks materials assuring proper labeling and placement; verifies when returned goods arrive from the customer.
Assures all facilities related items are monitored and handled as scheduled or required.
Assures cycle count of inventory is taken and full cycle is completed every three months; forwards for update and works with Purchasing department to correct discrepancies.
Assures safety procedures are followed; assures the warehouse is maintained in a clean and orderly fashion.
Makes recommendations for changes in warehouse layout or equipment and implements approved changes.
Assures warehouse is opened and locked up daily if first one in or last one out.
Performs all other special projects and responsibilities as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Familiar with all practices and procedures within a warehouse
Knowledge of all warehouse safety protocols and procedures
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or equivalent required
3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position required
