Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Organize and direct activities encompassing warehousing, transportation, and inventory control.

Develop a daily plan for preventive maintenance and allocation equipment to jobs. Ensure that equipment is used in the most efficient manner.
Work with other departmental management.
Ensure that all records and reports regarding warehouse activity are prepared and maintained.
Evaluate housekeeping and security levels daily. Review warehouse operations daily to ensure the warehouse is neat, and secure; and that damage to product, equipment and the facility is prevented.
Ensure that all safety procedures are followed. Operators in compliance with GMP, FDA, OSHA and MSDS standards and company SOP's.
Compliance with OSHA Standards (29 CFR 1910).
Manage and coordinate all DEA related actives including security controls.
Issue, maintain and track all DEA 222 forms.
Follow all environmental, health and safety, regulatory requirements, equipment, and procedures, including any department specific requirements. Assist Supply Chain Manager in planning space use to meet prescribed standards.
Ensure stock rotation. Help conduct cycle counts and physical inventories.
Provide a level of delivery service that meets customer expectations.
Must have a firm conceptual and practical understanding of supply chain operations, with emphasis on ERP Systems, Material Management, Bill of Materials, Inventory Controls and Product Flow.

The Manager Area Distribution I is accountable for the delivery and merchandising of company products to customers within a Market Unit which may include multiple distribution centers. * Manages Key Business Indicators to measure performance against company goals including the completion of delivering and serving our customers daily. Oversee the accuracy, maintenance, organization, and storage of all product inventory.
Oversee receiving, storage, and shipment of materials and related reporting in accordance with established procedures.
Pull, package, stage, and load outgoing shipments.
Unload, receive, and inspect incoming shipments and locate in designated area.
Safely operate appropriate equipment for movement of materials (Trucks, trailers, forklifts, etc…)
Safety, Fleet, and Logistics Oversight
Knowledge of OSHA Safety Regulations and Training.
May be responsible for vehicle maintenance and presentation.
Responsible for tracking vehicle mileage and service intervals to ensure proper maintenance of all vehicles and equipment.
Follow and communicate all safety rules and regulations both at the plant/office, and in the field.
Communicate Safety requirements and maintain program files and ensure record-keeping criteria is met.
In concert with the Branch Manager, maintain branch safety & vehicle programs according to industry standards, including OSHA, FMCSA, USDOT and others.
Perform daily vehicle and trailer inspections as required by FMCSA/USDOT.
Ensure efficient storage and organization of parts and supplies.
Assure the team follows all safety protocol.
Familiarity with electronic data logs (ELD) and FMCSA regulations for driving to ensure compliance.
Take the lead in the maintenance of all vehicles, trailers, equipment, tools, and other ancillary items.
Inspects, reports and facilitates all maintenance/repairs to all vehicles, trailers, and forklifts

Purchases shop supplies and tools as needed with prior management approval and requisition.
Takes lead in field training new Service and Logistics employee(s)
Obtain estimates for any repairs that need to be performed as requested by management.

Maintain annual USDOT inspections.

Serve as a customer service champion and professionally engage with customer base, and represent company professionally at, and away from work.
Report any issues that arise with our customer obligations to the Branch Manager immediately.
Oversee the execution of product availability to all customers and business segments.
Train and educate the labor forces of our customers to ensure their product knowledge, installation competency, and onsite maintenance expertise.
Work harmoniously with and serve as a liaison to inside sales, and ensure accuracy in documentation and order fulfillment.
Assist in the fulfilment of orders and communicate effectively with customer service and service team.
What You'll Need:
Required Experience
5+ years of successful operational and supervisory experience with fleet and warehousing environment.
Experience with inventory management.
Proficient computer skills and experience using Microsoft Office.
Demonstrated effective leadership, motivational, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently; strong teamwork and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.
Experience operating forklift and familiarity with hand tools is required.
Ability to lift 50 plus pounds on occasion.
Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record is required.
Familiarity with DOT criteria related to FMCSA regulations, hours of service, intrastate and interstate commerce, recordkeeping and maintenance, safe loading and load securement protocol.
10 or 30 Hour Safety Certification a Plus
