Job Summary: The Fulfillment Center Logistics Manager will be primarily responsible for all branch logistics activities relating to distribution operations, executing all receiving, storage, inventory control, pick, packing and route loading for delivery of products.
Responsibilities:
Early AM logistics check in with Dispatcher, Director of Customer Service, Night Shift Supervisor and Inbound/Inventory Control Manager
Ensure orders and inter-branch transfers are picked, checked and packed and loaded per company guidelines and procedures
Ensure accuracy/integrity of orders (correct material/quantity and acceptable quality/delivery)
Work with Inbound/Inventory Manager and Receiving Manager to control inventory and work with staff to minimize material ‘can't finds' and errors
Ensure all parcel package shipments are processed for customer delivery
Support counter staff to make sure customers are taken care of in a timely manner
Continuous interaction with all operations personnel throughout the day, as needed
Daily warehouse walkthrough to check for housekeeping issues
Review manifests daily
Monitor branch review queue
Monitor and respond to any inbound, outbound and/or product questions
Support for receiving and inventory stock checks as needed
Support sales and customer service with delivery issues and/or opportunities
Pick/pack as necessary
Oversee all cross-dock and transfer situations as they arise
Problem solve any general branch issues as they arise
Resolve any employee issues
Resolve any outstanding operational issues
Review payroll hours weekly
Schedule all driver and warehouse personnel time-off
Provide motivating work environment for staff with high levels of performance and standards being the norm
Communicate policies to ensure compliance and consistently administer corrective action as necessary
Foster communication and teamwork among staff to ensure accomplishment of operational goals.
Accepts responsibility for company projects that may be indirectly related to his/her area of responsibility
Works with distribution center team members to ensure the cleanliness and orderliness of the warehouse and processing areas
Ensure that safe work practices are followed; maintaining an overall safe work environment
Evaluate personnel and provide Management with employee reviews as requested
Completion of all assigned NEFCO trainings
Monitor and enforce all NEFCO training initiatives for associates under your supervision.
Assist in implementation of new training and enhance existing training processes for associates under your supervision.
Review direct reports' timecards, ensuring employees' time is accurately recorded and complete.
Approve employee timecards at the end of each period, prior to supervisor deadline.
Work with employees to resolve errors (missing punches, adjustments, etc.).
Review and approve PTO requests.
Management Responsibilities:
Monday - Friday (occasional Saturday)
Typically 45-50 hours

Qualifications:
Must have a track record of being a results-oriented person who has worked in industrial warehousing/distribution operations for 5+ years
Must be effective communicator up, down and across the organization
High school diploma (or equivalent)
Ability to use NEFCO's ERP software system
Ability to use warehouse layouts for planning purposes
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, or Outlook a plus
Basic computer skills
Must have a positive, hard-working attitude
Ability to establish priorities, work independently and little supervision

General Duties
Perform supervisory functions in accordance with City policies, procedures and applicable laws including: job skills training; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Investigate all complaints, property damage reports and file written recommendation to the city's law department.
Plan, manage and control department's financial resources through defining and developing operations, maintenance and construction budgets.
Develop, recommend, monitor and oversee department annual operating budget.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
Graduation from college with an associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school;
AND
Four (4) years of experience in utility, power, light and general municipal government;
OR
An equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
Special Requirements and/or Qualifications:
Current Journey Lineman status.

What You'll Do:

Resolve discrepancies between orders and products such as delays, condition, weight, quantity, etc.
Earn and maintain a forklift certification. Use the forklift and other powered industrial equipment as well as non-powered equipment to safely move products within the facility. Products will also be carried by hand
Follow up on any reports of damaged product and inform appropriate personnel so the problem can be corrected, and steps taken to avoid future occurrences
Ensure all products are properly labeled within the facility for inventory purposes and shipping boxes are properly labeled for accurate deliveries
Confirm that drivers depart with the appropriate paperwork
Ensure that shipping stations are working properly and reorder shipping materials when a replenishment order is required
Make safety a priority consideration with all actions taken within the department. Partner with general liability insurance provider and/or the insurance brokers' loss prevention specialists to identify and correct any potential safety hazards. Promptly respond to any OSHA inquiries
Proactively seek out safety and loss prevention feedback from team members, ensure all appropriate and required safety signage is properly posted, and utilize a safety committee or toolbox talk approach to provide feedback and training to foster a strong safety culture
Immediately treat and respond to employee injuries. Provide the required injury reports to Human Resources. Investigate the cause of all accidents and take steps to ensure similar accidents are prevented in the future.
Safeguard shipping operations and products by establishing and monitoring loss prevention security procedures and protocols
Maintain the physical condition of the warehouse facility by planning and implementing innovative design layouts when appropriate; inspecting equipment; maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and orderliness by enforcing 5S procedures; conducting Kaizen events, performing maintenance and repair of shipping equipment or issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement of damaged, broken, or worn-out equipment

Summary: Accountable for managing the integrity of the inventory within a facility and reporting inventory results to the client and the operation's management team. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, ISO guidelines, Sarbanes Oxley and other regulatory requirements. Provide leadership, guidance, direction and training to the Inventory Control staff. May also serve as Super User for SAP or other WMS supporting Inventory Control, shipping and receiving controls in some locations. Models and acts in accordance with our guiding principles and core values.
Typical Responsibilities:
* Oversee and manage the Inventory Control departments of multiple accounts to ensure the integrity of the inventory and that all procedures and processes are followed and completed in a timely manner and in accordance with client requirements, system requirements, company policy, ISO guidelines, Sarbanes Oxley and other regulatory requirements.
* Plan, execute and reconcile physical inventories.
* Oversee daily cycle counts, audits and reconciliation of activities between systems in accordance with contractual commitments.
* Ensure timely reporting and communication to the appropriate staff.
* Ensure that customer requirements are reported accurately and timely, according to customer specifications and contractual obligations.
* Resolve discrepancies and high-value variances through established investigative processes and in accordance with contractual obligations.
* Organize data and provide results for management review and actions.
* Resolve production issues related to systems applications within the warehouse environment using technical/trouble shooting skills.
* Identify and/or solve operational and WMS issues within the work group to provide productive and quality results.
* Serve as the primary contact between the company and the client's Inventory Control team.
* Work collaboratively with the management team to provide recommendations and solutions to improve inventory accuracy.
* Identify and recommend enhancements to improve management and integrity of the inventory WMS system.
* Create, implement and update inventory operational Standard Operating Procedures.
* Develop process and procedures for vendor compliance when applicable.
* Support the client with all reporting and queries needed.
* Balance with customer to all month end buckets and reports.
* Utilize superior communications skills to motivate staff and develop effective working relationships with peers, executives and customers.
* Develop and maintain staff and organizational development programs that provide adequate levels of training, succession planning, skill enhancement and overall department efficiency and capability.
* Conduct annual performance reviews for all staff within department and address all employee performance problems promptly and directly in accordance with personnel policies of the Company.
* Keep abreast of emerging technology changes and innovations through formal or informal study, reading business and professional publications, networking and participation in professional organizations.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
* Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to develop and document processes, procedures, and write policies.
* Capable of communicating and interacting effectively with multi-functional and diverse backgrounds and ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, employees and customers.
* Capable of operating standard warehouse equipment.
* Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of warehouseoperations and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Ability to manage the financial aspects of a department (purchasing, budget preparations and review, financial reporting and monitoring expenses).
* Proficient in the use of analytical techniques such as statistical probability distribution, correlation, data sampling and relating sets of numbers.
* PC literate. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web-based and job specific software applications including Access or similar database software. Minimum five years experience in SAP utilization, user proficiency and training, troubleshooting and resolution with programmers.
* Advanced skill in creating Excel Spreadsheets for analysis in the use of macros, pivot tables, v-lookup, formulas for calculating results and reporting variances.
* High degree of accuracy, attention to detail and a demonstrated ability to analyze complex transactional processes. Excellent planning, time management, collaboration, decision making, organization, presentation and negotiating skills.
* Demonstrated ability in making customers and their needs a primary focus of one's actions; develop and sustain productive relationships.
* Ability to plan, organize and manage multiple projects and set priorities.
* Develop and use collaborative relationships to accomplish work goals; develop individual relationships by listening, sharing ideas and appreciating others' efforts. Demonstrated ability to use appropriate methods and a flexible interpersonal style to build a cohesive team and facilitate the completion of team goals.
* Ability to maintain stable performance under pressure or opposition; handling stress in a manner that is acceptable to others and the organization.
* Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
Minimum:
* Minimum 5 years related experience.
* Minimum 3 years supervisory or managerial experience.
* Minimum 3 years industry experience.
* Valid state issued Driver's License. Forklift Driver Certification.
* Other professional certifications may be required.
* In-depth experience and knowledge in using computer systems, mainframe and work station for management of inventory reconciliation, performance measurement and reporting (including WMS -WarehouseManagement Systems.)
* In-depth experience in inventory control, cycle counting and quality assurance, (Lean, Six Sigma and ISO).
Preferred:
* Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain or related discipline.
* Minimum 5 years industry experience.
Travel: Some travel within the U.S. may be required
