Job Summary:
The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing all flooring installation projects, managing a diverse team of flooring mechanics, junior mechanics, helpers, and delivery associates, and ensuring the smooth operation of the warehouse. This role entails coordinating with project supervisors, maintaining inventory, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards, and fostering effective communication between teams and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership and Development:
Supervise and lead the flooring installation team, including Senior Flooring Mechanics, Junior Mechanics, Apprentices, and Delivery Associates.
Train and mentor staff on installation techniques, safety protocols, and company standards.
Monitor team performance and provide feedback to improve skill levels and efficiency.
Project Management:
Oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of flooring installation projects from start to finish.
Review all new projects in Monday.com, assigning appropriate supervisors and teams based on project complexity and requirements.
Collaborate team members to align project timelines and resource allocation.
Price out labor for complex or large-sized projects to ensure accurate budget estimates and effective resource management.
Warehouse Management:
Oversee the daily operations of the warehouse, including the organization and management of flooring materials and tools.
Ensure accurate inventory tracking, storage, and handling of materials to prevent loss and ensure timely availability for projects.
Coordinate with suppliers for material orders and manage incoming shipments, ensuring all materials meet quality standards.
Quality Assurance:
Conduct regular inspections of installations to ensure compliance with company standards and client expectations.
Address and resolve any installation defects or issues promptly, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
Maintain documentation of quality checks and installation progress.
Safety and Compliance:
Enforce safety protocols and ensure that all team members use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
Conduct safety training sessions and maintain records of safety incidents.
Ensure compliance with local and industry safety regulations.
Documentation and Reporting:
Ensure accurate completion of project documentation, including timelines, estimates, and progress reports.
Utilize project management tools (e.g., Monday.com, Exak Time) to track project statuses and team hours.
Analyze project data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Resource Management:

This role is ideal for a hospitality or inventory professional who thrives on collaboration, process improvement, and cross-functional impact. You'll work closely with Resort Operations, Sales, Finance, Legal, and Marketing teams to balance inventory availability, compliance, and profitability - helping us drive performance across every property.
What You'll Do
Inventory Planning & Optimization
Execute and deploy strategies to allocate and balance sales inventory across multiple resorts.
Align inventory deployment with sales, marketing, and resort performance goals, adjusting based on utilization trends and forecasts.
Partner with leadership to evaluate inventory mix and availability, identifying opportunities to improve profitability and owner satisfaction.
Identify inventory available for resale and manage the return and reallocation process.
Recommend and deploy pointing, pricing, and promotional strategies in alignment with organizational timelines.
Data Integrity, Systems & Reporting
Ensure the accuracy and consistency of inventory data across systems used by sales, operations, and finance.
Build and manage recurring and ad hoc reports to monitor inventory utilization, sales velocity, and availability.
Maintain monthly depletion schedules and provide insights to guide leadership decisions and sales forecasting.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Compliance
Partner with Sales Operations, Finance, Marketing, Legal, and Resort Operations to align inventory strategies with both business goals and regulatory requirements.
Ensure all ownership inventory practices comply with internal controls and external policies.
Support product launches, promotions, and sales channel optimization initiatives across teams.
Team Leadership & Process Improvement
Lead and develop a team of Inventory Analysts and Coordinators to ensure operational excellence.
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Identify and implement process enhancements to improve accuracy, efficiency, and control.
Collaborate with technology teams to enhance reporting tools, automation, and system capabilities.
What You Bring
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Hospitality Management, or related field.
5+ years of experience in vacation ownership, resort operations, or sales inventory management.
Strong analytical and forecasting skills, with the ability to interpret and act on complex data sets.
Proficiency in Salesforce, Microsoft Excel, and enterprise inventory or reservation systems.
Demonstrated success leading teams and managing cross-functional initiatives.
Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
Detail-oriented, strategic, and solutions-focused approach to problem-solving.

Lead the operation of a Distribution Center in support of company goals. Provide input and feedback on all operations processes and results to DC Manager. Responsible for providing input to DC Manager for departmental strategic and operations planning, financial management, operational reporting and communication, fleet management, departmental process improvement, compliance, and inventory management.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities
Provides departmental input to DC Manager for development of operating plans for warehouse and transportation operations in support of organizational goals including facility, equipment and staff.
Identifies departmental financial resources necessary to support operating plan and provide cost justification for departmental spending; participates with DC Manager in the development of department operating budgets.
Provides process improvement recommendations to DC Manager and implements process improvement action plans within the department. Leads associates to be fully compliant with all safety and Hazmat rules and regulations, legal regulations, and human resource policies; ensures safety and security of associates, facility, equipment, and inventory relevant to department. Reports safety and security discrepancies to DC Manager.
Manages performance of Assistant Manager and/or hourly associates and recognize, train, coach, counsel, and take corrective action when warranted.

Work Environment

Typically requires overnight travel 5% to 20% of the time.
Education and Experience
Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 7+ years of experience in a related field. May require certification. Advanced degree may offset less experience in some disciplines.
