The mission of the Johnston County Public Utilities Department is to provide citizens of Johnston County efficient, affordable and friendly services of water supply, wastewater collection and treatment, reclaimed water and stormwater management. We are actively hiring for a Water Transmission & Distribution Manager. This position is full-time and requires response after hours, on holidays and weekends. This position plans, directs, and oversees the operation, maintenance and repair of the County's water transmission and distribution system. Work involves managing staff, budgets and infrastructure, while ensuring system operation is performed in strict accordance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations. The position serves as or oversees the Operator in Responsible Charge (ORC) of the County's water transmission and distribution system. This position ensures water quality is maintained and that customers receive water at adequate flow and pressure. SHIPPING AND FULFILLMENT MANAGER The Shipping and Fulfillment Manager oversees private label fulfillment and shipment of all outbound orders. They also manage the Fulfillment and Delivery Specialist. Reports To: Production ManagerDirect Reports: Fulfillment and Delivery SpecialistStatus: Full Time Shipping & Receiving Oversee all wholesale customers' outbound shipping/freight orders. Ensure all outbound orders are processed correctly. Maintain and order all shipping materials and supplies for JVG accounts. Pull and pack orders for all shipping customers including: Allied Products, Sweetbird Products, and roasted coffee orders. Set up freight BOLs and track all shipping orders. Monitor shipping methods, run reports, and make recommendations to solve problems and streamline processes in shipping. Ensure all inbound freight orders are received physically and entered into inventory system. Private Label Fulfillment Participate in meetings with private label accounts to build relationships and help troubleshoot challenges. Print out and organize shipping orders each morning, assigning tasks to other team members when needed. Ensure that all orders are fulfilled accurately and in time for daily USPS and FedEx pickup. Ensure all team members helping with fulfillment are following proper fulfillment procedures (FIFO, tidy packing, etc.) Communicate regularly with Production Manager to maintain product inventories and prioritize specific production when necessary. Ensure daily accuracy of “Finished Product” inventory. Maintain and order all shipping materials and supplies for private label fulfillment and freight shipments. Management Contribute to hiring and onboarding process for Fulfillment & Delivery Specialist. Hold regular one-on-one meetings with Fulfillment & Delivery Specialist. Give feedback regularly and provide coaching to Fulfillment & Delivery Specialist. Thoughtfully compile and present performance reviews; reference pay scale accurately. Utilize and file all human resources paperwork correctly. Job Requirements 1+ year(s) production and shipping experience. Leadership/management experience preferred. The Night Reach Operator is responsible for scanning and putting away all incoming pallets of product to their proper locations in the freezer / warehouse as well as maintaining full levels of product within his or her designated aisles at all times. Perform tasks to include utilizing RF Warehouse Computer System to properly scan and put away incoming merchandise. Assume responsibilities for the care and maintenance of designated equipment. Essential Job Functions: Navigate RF based computer system to scan pallets to proper warehouse locations Replenish picking locations as needed throughout the course of the day to ensure product is available to be selected by night shift order pickers Maintain proper date rotation of products to ensure FIFO level of inventory. Maintain level of organization within assigned aisles so that all product is kept in proper locations to minimize mis-picks by selectors. Report all damaged product to immediate supervisor Select customer orders as needed/required by floor supervisor Perform all other warehouse related functions as deemed by warehouse supervisor or manager Operate all machinery in a safe manner. Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to repeatedly lift and/or push or pull/reach above shoulder height heavy objects weighing up to forty (40) pounds. Ability to read, write and count in order to correctly fill and receive orders and conduct accurate inventory. Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Two years experience operating an electric fork lift, pallet jack, and reach machine. High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
