WarehouseManager - Duties/Responsibilities:
Ensure that the warehouseoperates at peak efficiency - with customer satisfaction the primary goal - by supervising, organizing, and training warehouse employees and establishing, monitoring, and following department standard operating procedures.
Develop warehouseoperations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements, equipment utilization, inventory, and shipping methods.
Train and manage the warehouse team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short and long-term performance goals.
Oversee and manage logistics for transporting products to customers, communicating with drivers and to ensure efficient delivery of packages.
Oversee daily operations while controlling and managing inventory and logistics.
Inspect equipment, tools, trucks, and machinery regularly, and oversee general maintenance when necessary.

Plan and conduct safety training.
Complete required reports (weekly, biweekly, monthly).
Lead scheduled meetings with staff and conduct quarterly meetings with all direct employees.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
WarehouseManager - Qualifications:
Requires a High School diploma or general education development (GED) diploma.
At least four (4) years' experience or equivalent with a minimum of two (2) years in a supervisory capacity.
Knowledge of supply chain management, logistics, distribution, and/or warehousemanagement best practices.
Proven team building skills, both internal and external, with the ability to motivate and direct the work of others.
A good candidate must provide a good work history that demonstrates: dependability, integrity, attention to detail, self-motivated, excellent customer service and take initiative.
Ability to pass the company background and Motor Vehicle Report and the company drug testing requirements.
Working Environment: Ability to be exposed to weather - hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions caused by the weather. Ability to walk/stand/sit for at least 6 -8 hours/daily.

Job Overview

Duties & Responsibilities

* Oversee and delegate training of warehouse personnel. Verify and ensures all applicable Warehouse processes are followed, including, but not limited to, the processes for handling damaged product check-in, etc.
* Conduct interviews and make hiring decisions for hourly teammates. Document and deliver performance management discussions including disciplinary documents.
* Communicates with other departments and internal/external stakeholders as it relates to identified process improvements, quality, Out-of-Stocks (Out of Stocks), Late Loads, etc.
* Manages and models the safety culture and strives for 100% compliance concerning safety policies and procedures.

2) You'll report to the Assistant Director for Student Center Operations, in a Regular twelve-month, 100% Staff appointment.
3) You'll oversee the quality of the building operations and services for three student center facilities (Squires, GLC, and Johnston Student Center), Owens Ballroom, and War Memorial Chapel. The manager focuses on quality assurance for evening and weekend events and building operations. Additionally, the manager leads the management and development of the Squires Student Center operations student staff, including recruitment, training, evaluation, and supervision. This position works collaboratively with the other Operations team members to provide consistent weekly and long-term building operations that support university and departmental needs and demands; coordinates with other SECL functional areas to ensure high-quality services are provided to students, patrons, and guests; and directly supports customer service needs and assesses the quality of event setups and tidiness of the student centers.
4) You'll have the chance to grow and take advantage of a developmental plan with opportunities to advance within the Department and the Division.

Required Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent related experience in Student Personnel Administration, Facility Management, Business, or related field.
* Must have Previous experience in:
* General operations and/or facility management experience in a student union, hospitality, community center, recreational center, or related environment.
* Supervision, including but not limited to recruiting, training, evaluating, and directing the work of student staff members.
* Operationsmanagement experience, including project management and building management.
* Strong organizational skills that include the ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and perform multiple functions simultaneously.
* Demonstrated knowledge of risk management practices.
* Experience or training with cash/revenue management.
* Demonstrated knowledge of computer programs, including Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, or similar software.

Ensure that the DC follows all internal practices such as, but not limited to, the TMS, C-TPAT program, company standards, etc.
Ensure proper training of employees according to internal standards and provincial/state laws and regulations specific to our industry.
Coordinate repairs and purchases for the DC
Requirements
Completion of a college diploma in a related field, or equivalent work experience in Distribution, Logistics and/or Customer Service;
Positive leadership and project management skills
Excellent written & verbal skills;
Knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook.
Experience in an RF environment
Experience working/managing in a unionized environment
Experience with SAP is an asset.
