Compensation

Responsibilities
Manage daily operation of the cement terminals interfacing with terminal employees, sales personnel, material suppliers, shipping providers and customers as necessary
Ensure a high quality of service to all customers, reliable operation of all terminal equipment, and the efficient use of labor and facilities to optimize the cost of the operations
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local labor, safety, and environmental regulations
Manage terminal receipts, inventory, and shipments
Develop an operating budget; track operating costs and look for ways to improve costs without sacrificing safety or service
Manage railroad and trucking logistics to provide adequate inventories at the terminal
Demonstrate solid mechanical/control system skills and the ability to train others
Perform operating and maintenance activities as necessary to ensure successful terminal operation
Develop and implement successful training programs for terminal personnel
Develop and maintain a teamwork environment
Education
BS degree in Business, Engineering, or related field; degree preferred, not required
Requirements/Qualifications
5-7 years prior experience in the cement industry, preferably in operations, terminal management
Self-motivated and able to work alone with little supervision
Willingness to make decisions and demonstrate a sense of urgency
Strong demonstrated leadership, coaching, and interpersonal skills

Position Overview:
This is a supervisory position in an Inspection Center overseeing a team carrying out daily operations within a Carvana Inspection Center.. The Reconditioning Manager oversees all aspects of the vehicle reconditioning process and directs at least five leads and up to 70 front line associates in a lean manufacturing environment. This role will be responsible for maintaining a culture of continuous improvement and high associate engagement while meeting quality, production, and cost objectives.

Oversee day-to-day operations within the Inspection Center.

General Purpose: The Transportation Manager is responsible for ensuring the supervision of all Transportation staff, departmental planning, and coordination of services for the safe transportation of students of the Camas School District. Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities:
Education: Associates degree in Education or related field preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Completion of Pupil Transportation Management Certification Program strongly preferred or ability to complete in a timely manner.
Five years' experience in the pupil transportation field in the following areas: Supervision of personnel, routing and scheduling, direct oversight of the Bus Driver Training Program and accident investigation.
Knowledge of Washington State pupil transportation regulations and reporting practices.

Performance Responsibilities:
Under the direct supervision and in conjunction with the Director of Operational Systems, the Manager will assist in the following responsibilities:
Evaluate the performance of employees.
Make recommendations to HR regarding employee issues.
Maintain and encourage positive staff relations through regular, positive communication with staff, assist in resolving staff concerns.
Prepare and maintain transportation reports as required; maintain employee qualification records in accordance with Washington Administrative Code 392-144.
Observe and approve records of time worked by employees; verify payroll records.
Develop department policies and procedures for transportation.
Gather information in order to receive maximum state funding.
Monitor compliance with state pupil transportation guidelines and other applicable rules and regulations.
Meet regularly with district and transportation staff concerning transportation matters; resolve conflicts with district staff, parents and the community.
Develop and oversee driver-training programs.
Monitor and record employee's state bus drivers' certification and licenses.
May assist in the preparation of proposals for, and participate in, collective bargaining with employees on behalf of the district.
Oversee drug and alcohol testing program.
Delegate tasks to staff.
Annually prepare a schedule of in-service training for all school bus drivers that meet or exceed the requirements defined by the Superintendent of Public Instruction for the continuing certification of school bus drivers.
Maintain the training records and certification requirements of each school bus driver to assure that each driver remains certificated in accordance with Washington Administrative Code 392-144.
Supervise student emergency evacuation drills and other student-oriented bus safety programs.
Periodically review training programs in order to update and improve methods used.
Perform similar, related duties as assigned.
Assist in implementing retraining as necessary for drivers who do not meet acceptable standards.
Supervision of the shop and warehouse personnel.

Role Summary:

Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management & Control:
Oversee all inventory management activities, including receiving, storing, tracking, and distributing materials and parts used in the manufacturing of UGVs.

Implement inventory control procedures, including periodic audits, cycle counting, and reconciliation, to maintain accuracy and reduce discrepancies.

Supply Chain Optimization:

Warehouse Management:

Inventory Auditing & Reporting:
Perform regular physical inventory counts and audits to verify inventory levels and reconcile any discrepancies in system records.

Develop and present inventory performance metrics to the Plant Manager, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
Manage and track returns of defective or excess materials, coordinating with suppliers for replacements or credits as needed.
Process Improvement & Efficiency:
Continuously evaluate inventory management processes and identify areas for improvement to reduce waste, optimize stock levels, and increase overall efficiency.
Implement lean manufacturing principles to reduce excess inventory, minimize waste, and improve throughput.
Investigate and troubleshoot inventory-related problems, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
Stay current on best practices and industry trends in inventory management, implementing innovative solutions where appropriate.
Team Management:
Supervise and lead a team of inventory control specialists and warehouse associates, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
Ensure that team members follow inventory procedures and safety protocols while maintaining a high level of accuracy in their work.
Conduct performance evaluations, identify training needs, and promote employee development opportunities to improve team performance and morale.

Implement and enforce policies of the Company within the property management team.
Work in conjunction with Broker to establish and implement marketing procedures and portfolio growth strategies.
Assist in the attainment of all growth/profit goals established by the Company.
Ensure Company operations function according to established quality assurance standards through use of proper procedures, forms, and processes.
Establish and maintain all necessary external (client, vendor, and resident) relationships in such a manner as to further the objectives, operating philosophy, and desired image of Company.
Establish and monitor cost/expense control of property portfolios through regular verbal and written reports from team members.
Ensure effective working relationships are established and maintained with all team members by providing the necessary checks and balances that will identify and correct discrepancies both operationally and in communications.
Ensure proper organizational coordination (both vertical and horizontal communications).
Ensure efficient and effective administrative practices are employed, including scheduling, contracting, and record keeping. As appropriate, recommend new, more sophisticated methods and procedures to Broker.
Ensure all financial information relevant to team operation is routinely monitored for accuracy and compliance with company requirements.
Review monthly reports and decide any action to resolve with team members.
Conduct periodic and annual performance evaluations of all persons reporting to this position.
Ensure all employees are active in their positions and that waste and non-productive time is eliminated.
Make every attempt to resolve all business and personnel problems or grievances, solving problems as they arise. Endeavor to resolve all potential problem areas before they have a negative effect on the Companys operational efficiency or reputation. Function as lead role in resolution of portfolio related legal/contractual disputes, keeping Broker advised and informed in a timely manner.
Develop and submit all required reports to the Broker within prescribed guidelines and dates for submission.
Maintain sound business relations with customers, vendors, trade groups, employees, government agencies and the community at large.
Maintain high morale and a focus on productivity among all staff positions.
Supervise and oversee that all portfolio properties are inspected in a timely manner and that the appropriate documentation/reporting are completed and processed according to Company policy.
Endeavor to increase knowledge of the business and industry, especially as it pertains to legal, regulatory, and technical changes, communicating and conveying information as received to staff members.
Maintain awareness of all business-related trends, advances, and improvements, determining the economic impact of any fiscal or political activities that could affect the Company.
Conduct at least once monthly staff meetings, communicating policy/procedure updates and changes, legislative and regulatory updates, technology changes and improvements, etc.
Provide coverage for staff, if necessary, if extended illness or vacation schedule require.
Operations Manager may perform other duties to further the best interest of the Company as may be assigned.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
Active WA Real Estate License
At least 3 years of residential property management experience
5 years of supervisory experience
BA Degree preferred
Hospitality/Customer Service experience preferred
Experience with property management systems is a plus
