Your Role: The Operations Manager will effectively direct and lead all aspects of the manufacturing operations within our organization through year-over-year improvements in safety, quality delivery, and cost. This person must possess a continuous improvement mindset and be a champion of LEAD efforts throughout the facility.
What You'll Be Doing:
· Utilize data driven processes to achieve key performance goals that meet or exceed manufacturing requirements and customer satisfaction. Develop world-class operational standards for measuring and communicating visual metrics related to Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Inventory, etc.
· Effective decision-making skills regarding utilization of resources, hiring / training, and supporting capital investments to achieve business plan and forecasts.
· Takes ownership and accountability for improving safety throughout the operation and supports the organization's overall HSSE mission of Goal Zero
· Work with maintenance and subcontractors to ensure plant equipment and the facility is safe and in optimal operating order.
· Partners with union leadership and members to manage daily operations and consistently apply practices and enforce policies. Understand and administer the collective bargaining agreement.
· Drive continuous improvement processes by utilizing World Class/Lean Manufacturing techniques to increasing output and lower costs in manufacturing/assembly areas.
· Work with Staff Management and Lean Coordinator(s) to develop and execute a Lean strategy/plan and identify the needs of the business regarding Lean processes. Utilization of 5S, TPM, SMED tools to drive process discipline and accountability.
· Utilizes Standard Work in all manufacturing processes, developing documentation through involvement of employees at all levels. Improve manufacturing processes for greater efficiencies through work instructions, process flow, visual management, scrap reduction, waste elimination, material usage, material handling and flow, cross-training, etc.
· Support and ensure ISO 9000 processes and procedures are developed and implemented and coordinates preventative measures to enhance system capability. Provide leadership for problem resolution and use formalized root-cause problem solving approaches (5-Why, 4-Block, 8D, etc.) to effectively define problems and drive to solutions.
· Maintain and nurture effective working relationships / communications with key support functions including Engineering, Quality, Finance, Sales and Supply Chain to improve operations and ensure effective support of the manufacturing processes to achieve business objectives.
· Participate in development of staff positions and location succession planning including identifying high-potential subordinates.
Requirements
What You Need to Succeed:
· Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
· Minimum of 7-10 years of proven success in managing plant operations in a world-class manufacturing organization. Must have successfully lead and managed by the facilitation of teamwork within the directed functions.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Warehouse Clerk has the basic responsibility for label control, yard coordination, and administrative functions in support of the entire outbound (Shipping and Picking) operation. Warehouse Clerk is also responsible for communicating issues to the outbound supervisors in a timely manner. Must have Excel Experience and be computer literate.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Label Control:
Prepare, distribute, and reprint all labels for carton/pallet pickers daily in a fair and consistent manner. Maintain a clear, consistent label flow to allow pickers the opportunity to perform in a safe, accurate, and productive manner without issue or hindrance. Track and document all labels given out.
Yard Coordination:
Utilize Y/WMS system to communicate outbound pulls and plugs to yard drivers on a daily basis. Assist supervisor to ensure trailer is properly chocked and green light is active before trailers are moved or loading begins.
Administrative Functions:
Complete computer data entry required for shipments. Issue seals to loaders. Verify accurate, pertinent information (i.e., seal number, trailer number, store number, etc.) in order to prepare Bills of Lading (BOL's) for all completed outbound loads. Schedule LTL carriers for pickup (site specific). Print work assignments for replenishment drivers. Document and file all outbound related paperwork in a neat and orderly fashion. Multitask and work with a high sense of urgency in the performance of all duties. Assist outbound supervisors with compiling and tracking downtime sheets as required. Provide service and adhere to professional etiquette when communicating with members of management, peers, customers, and visitors.
Safety, Sanitation, Security:
Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area. Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse. Ensure all seals and sensitive documents are properly secured when not in use. Distribute and collect tools and equipment (i.e., RF guns, bolt cutters, etc.) to associates and report issues to outbound supervisors in a timely manner. Conduct operations in a manner, which promotes safety. Conduct operations in accordance with OSHA and MSDS Standard
OTHER DUTIES
Safe use of powered equipment, RF scanners, computers, and printers.

Exposure to varied environmental conditions (heat, cold, dry, humid, light, dark, dusty, etc.)

Disassemble, clean, and sanitize packaging & support equipment using designated cleaning chemicals following documented safety LOTO and cleaning procedures for product changeovers. This can include removing knives, steam cleaning jaws and fill tubes, and flushing the hopper and holding tank using cleaning chemicals. Requires use of protective equipment and works with hazardous chemicals.
Perform and document quality checks to include brix, viscosity, temperature, fill weight, production reports, compression test, drain weight, chart recorders, and metal detector. Collect necessary samples for QC and Lab testing as needed.
Complete written reports to include: process control chart, pallet tags, production reports, compression tests, drain weight, daily disposition sheet, housekeeping checklists, and labels with code date information.
Troubleshoot and/or identify equipment failures or problems. Create, coordinate and complete shipments of goods between company and clients. Coordinate with off-site logistics locations, suppliers and vendors to meet deadlines and track all shipments. Process orders and ensure shipment schedules are met. May develop and maintain operational reports and complete shipments of goods between company and clients. May act as a point of contact for customer service. Ensures the completion, accuracy, and delivery of transactions for clients. May dispatch requests to transportation providers.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Performs daily activities for an assigned shift or within an assigned area or function.
* Adheres to specific warehouse work instructions for receiving, labeling, storing, shipping and value add services as required in accordance to DSV Air & Sea standard policies and procedures.
* Meets company objectives in the areas of performance, safety, quality, leadership, and customer service.
* Works with the supervisor, warehouse manager and freight forwarding teams to identify areas to improve/enhance overall service to the client.
* Unloads inbound shipments safely and move products to the correct destination. Efficiently stage, stack and load the merchandise in the appropriate areas
* Efficiently moves product from staging and/or unloading areas into the correct load door and the assigned trailer. Ensures that the trailer is secured and chocked prior to entering the trailer in accordance to the safety polices.
* Loads/Unloads product correctly using the appropriate handling techniques. Segregate, check, and stage inbound product correctly.
* Verifies the driver, trailer, and bills are all for that specific carrier and location. Counts freight with the driver and ensures all requirements are followed. Loads the trailer for safe transit and ensures the driver signs all required paperwork.
* Performs all Forklift activities as required. Perform labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking as needed; maintain the facility to provide a clean, safe work environment.
* Maintains and organized and orderly desk/office area.
* Performs other duties as assigned

Job Summary
Works in multiple departments within the distribution center, including case pick, shipping, receiving, returns, loading, order processing, and replenishment. Supports management by providing guidance and training to warehouse associates.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities
