RECEIVERS


Our Warehouse Teams accurately replenish product or fulfill customer orders by selecting, moving and loading products (e.g. bags of dog/cat food, cases of cans, litter) from warehousing racks and storage areas onto pallets both manually and operating warehouse equipment.


Essential Functions/Requirements:


Safely and solely bend, lift, move materials up to 50 lbs. repetitively and continuously throughout shift, manually and by operating warehousing equipment Build pallets accurately, properly, and efficiently to ensure product is not damaged upon delivery to our customers Candidate must be able to read, write and understand English, including identifying numbers Perform functions, accountabilities and supporting activities while complying with safety procedures, rules and regulations Candidate must have reliable transportation, flexible schedule, solid attendance and a positive, professional attitude Some positions may require the candidate be assigned to the walk-in freezer. This requires the ability to work in temperatures at or below -5 degrees F for long periods of time while wearing required personal protective equipment provided by the company


Skills/Knowledge:


Experience in safely operating warehouse equipment (e.g. forklift, pallet jack, high reach truck), preferred High degree of skill and dexterity in operation and safe control of warehouse equipment Strong attention to detail and accuracy required Experience and certification for an electric pallet jack, a plus Experience with Infor WMS, a plus

General Responsibilities for 2nd Shift Receiver:

Pay Rate : $20.50/hour

What you'll be doing: As a Warehouse Receiving/Putaway Associate, you'll be operating material handling equipment to move product within the warehouse. Safety is our utmost priority so, in this role, we will look to you to ensure safe work practices and embrace our safety culture.

In this role, you'll be lifting, lowering and carrying product in a fast-paced environment and stacking empty pallets and maintaining a safe and clean workspace by clean and sweep work area and remove trash as you go. You will maintain pick locations by cutting product open and placing product in primary picking locations. You will perform various receiving functions, such as unloading trucks, either by hand or using material handling equipment, and putting away product in the correct overstock location.

You will be essential to the success of Staples Supply Chain as we deliver to our customers.

  • Basic English language skills (both verbal and written communications)
  • As a Full-Time associate, you must have the ability to work additional hours beyond scheduled shift; additional overtime hours will be required based on business need
  • Ability to work at heights up to 60 feet or more as needed
  • An ability to lift, push or pull boxes/merchandise weighing between 70 pounds and 100 pounds by hand
  • You must be at least 18 years old

What's needed- Preferred Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent work experience
  • Prior experience operating warehouse equipment, such as forklift, pallet jack and cherry picker helpful
