Warehouse Selector FULL-TIME
$21/hr, plus $2000 new hire bonus, see details below
The Selector picks products in a warehouse environment in order to assemble customer orders. Completed orders are placed on pallets or in totes and “staged” for loaders to wrap and load onto the trucks. Selectors operating power jacks and forklifts to pick products from three different climate areas (dry or ambient, cold, freezer) following work orders that are provided on paper or via a voice pick option (where available). The products selected may include full pick (cases), master pack (partial case), or unit picks (individual products). The Selectors must be able to maintain an expected work pace and meet minimum productivity guidelines.
Duties include:
- Operating powered industrial trucks (power jack and forklift) to maneuver through the warehouse to locate products for picking.
- Selecting and loading products from warehouse storage onto pallets or trays the following work or pick order to prepare product loads for shipping to customer locations.
- Inspecting products for quality assurance, including the integrity of packaging and visible signs of damage.
- Applying knowledge of truck weight distribution and capabilities to plan, organize, and efficiently stage products for loading.
- Handling manual wrap wand to wrap pallets.
- Receiving work assignments from central control (via printout or voice pick where available)
- Performing daily and pre-trip safety checks on all equipment.
- Applying knowledge of product location to efficiently gather all products for route or load.
- Utilizing pick hooks, 5th wheel hooks, and box cutters to retrieve products or maneuver trays.
- Identifying pick type according to the work order to plan.

Job Responsibilities
•Must have the ability to count.
•Accurately select product by matching slot numbers and product descriptions using a voice-activated warehouse management system.

•Meet and maintain established productivity standards.
•Construct sturdy, balanced pallet loads from various sizes and weights of cases for damage-free shipping.
•Shrink-wrap and stage completed pallets of selected product in proper shipping lanes for loading.
•Communicate with supervisors regarding safety, equipment, damaged goods, and any problems or issues that may arise.
•Have flexibility in scheduling and availability to work the times, shifts, days, and overtime as necessary to meet the company's production needs.
