Promote safe and on-time product delivery to MRC Global's customers. Follows the direction of senior management in support of the achievement of financial and operational goals.
**Key Duties & Responsibilities**
The Role's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
+ Serve as a supervisor for a team for the purpose of assigning tasks to employees; provide input into management's hiring and termination decisions.
+ Serve as a primary safety leader for the work location, implementing MRC Global's safety policies, guidelines, compliance requirements, documentation, and training in partnership with the Service Center Manager.
+ Perform warehouse duties, including shipping, receiving materials, stocking, pulling products for shipment, and all functions required for the pipe yard (if appropriate for the location); assign work; delegate tasks and responsibilities to the warehouse team daily.
+ Maintain fleet safety, appearance, and compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
+ Inspect physical conditions of warehouse/pipe yard and equipment (forklifts, trailers, floor sweepers, etc.); identify and address maintenance, repair, or replacement opportunities.
+ Maintain warehouse cleanliness in compliance with OSHA/OSR and safety policies.
+ Coordinate communication between the warehouse and the sales office to promote efficient and timely deliveries.
+ Schedule drivers and deliveries to maximize safety, efficiency, and cost-effective routes.
+ Troubleshoot and problem-solve issues pertaining to incoming and outgoing shipments.
+ Monitor the daily cycle count process and other inventory management functions, drive timeliness, thoroughness, and accuracy.
+ Manage and drive readiness for Warehouse Assessment processes; follow up on action items identified from the assessment.
+ Secure warehouse and grounds, following company processes and procedures.
+ Motivate and develop warehouse employees; monitor progress, measure results, coach staff on performance, and assign/recommend enrichment training or opportunities.
+ Collaborate with the Service Center Manager to maintain updated and accurate employee files.
+ Establish and maintain good rapport with internal and external customers through effective communication.
+ Provide on-call support after hours.
+ Maintain confidentiality of information pertaining to manager duties, operations, contract information, and other sensitive information.
+ Travel as needed to other company and customer locations upon request.

**Required Experience**

**Preferred Experience**

The operations technician's role is to work within a Team to operate an assigned area of responsibility in the plant to safely meet the production requirements of their assigned shift and contribute to the development of the operation of the team as a unit.
Scope
This job description applies to eligible, full-time exempt employees of Louisiana Sugar Refining, LLC. Employees are responsible for the food safety and quality of the product.
Responsibilities
• Operate and inspect front end loaders
• Supply the refinery with Raw Sugar as needed
• Operate, clean and inspect the slingers
• Collection of Raw Sugar samples and correctly allocating the sugar
• Cleaning and operating of sugar transfer systems
• Washing and greasing front end loaders
• Following all LSR safety, sanitation, and housekeeping requirements in and around the Raw Sugar Warehouse
• Trouble shooting issues in the area and getting them addressed timely

Key Duties & Responsibilities
The Role's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Serve as a supervisor for a team for the purpose of assigning tasks to employees; provide input into management's hiring and termination decisions.
* Serve as a primary safety leader for the work location, implementing MRC Global's safety policies, guidelines, compliance requirements, documentation, and training in partnership with the Service Center Manager.
* Perform warehouse duties, including shipping, receiving materials, stocking, pulling products for shipment, and all functions required for the pipe yard (if appropriate for the location); assign work; delegate tasks and responsibilities to the warehouse team daily.
* Maintain fleet safety, appearance, and compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
* Inspect physical conditions of warehouse/pipe yard and equipment (forklifts, trailers, floor sweepers, etc.); identify and address maintenance, repair, or replacement opportunities.
* Maintain warehouse cleanliness in compliance with OSHA/OSR and safety policies.
* Coordinate communication between the warehouse and the sales office to promote efficient and timely deliveries.
* Schedule drivers and deliveries to maximize safety, efficiency, and cost-effective routes.
* Troubleshoot and problem-solve issues pertaining to incoming and outgoing shipments.
* Monitor the daily cycle count process and other inventory management functions, drive timeliness, thoroughness, and accuracy.
* Manage and drive readiness for Warehouse Assessment processes; follow up on action items identified from the assessment.
* Secure warehouse and grounds, following company processes and procedures.
* Motivate and develop warehouse employees; monitor progress, measure results, coach staff on performance, and assign/recommend enrichment training or opportunities.
* Collaborate with the Service Center Manager to maintain updated and accurate employee files.
* Establish and maintain good rapport with internal and external customers through effective communication.
* Provide on-call support after hours.
* Maintain confidentiality of information pertaining to manager duties, operations, contract information, and other sensitive information.
* Travel as needed to other company and customer locations upon request.
* Able/available to work overtime, including some weekend days, according to fluctuating business needs.
* Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
* Take reasonable care of your own safety and the safety of others, and report workplace hazards, injuries, or illnesses immediately.
Required Experience
* Six months' experience in a dedicated position in a warehouse, pipe yard, or other labor-intensive industrial environment
* Experience in warehouse functions, including receiving, inventory, and shipping.
* Team leadership experience, including scheduling, delegation, and verifying the safety and accuracy of others' work.
Preferred Experience
* Experience operating equipment such as forklifts, wrapping machines, banding equipment, cranes/cherry pickers, and other warehouse tools is preferred.
Skills & Abilities
* Demonstrate understanding of basic units of measurement (fractions, decimals, etc.).
* Ability to work overtime as needed.
* Basic math and good reading skills.
* Typing and basic computer skills.
* Comfortable learning and using a variety of computer applications for receiving and shipping products.
* Knowledge of or ability to learn MRC Global warehouse operations and business processes.
Working Conditions
* Physical activity/exertion is routine.
* Able to lift 25-50 pounds overhead.
