- Lead and direct associates to achieve accurate orders that are then staged and loaded on the trucks. Oversee the preparation of the warehouse for shipping or receiving on the next shift.
- Monitor operational information, such as "mis-picks" and productivity reports, to ensure the entire shift meets rates and follows preferred methods. Take action through coaching and counseling to correct behaviors.
- On day shift, designate dock locations for inbound carriers. Ensure product is stocked in appropriate location in accordance with food safety and FIFO processes & procedures. Monitor replenishment activity to ensure stock is available for the shipping shift and to minimize the potential for "shorts". Oversee will call.
- Maintain physical condition and safety of warehouse and equipment, including preparing work orders for repairs and requisitions for equipment.
- Work with operations management team to identify sources of inventory shrink and assist in development of an action plan. Analyze the current operations and make recommendations to improve on expense and cost control.
- Regularly inspect facility for safety hazards and either resolve them or report them to the safety manager as appropriate. Maintain the physical condition of the warehouse and its equipment.
- Ensure Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS) and FSQA requirements are followed.
- Effectively schedule working shifts by leveraging appropriate planning tools (i.e., Microsoft Excel)
- Other duties assigned by manager.
**SUPERVISION:**
- Direct: Union and/or non-union warehouse on-floor associates (Loaders, Selectors, Receivers, Forklift drivers, etc.)

**WORK ENVIRONMENT**
- The work takes place in normal warehouse environments as well as in cooler and freezer areas where temperatures may be as low as -5 degrees.
**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**
Related Experience/Requirements:
- Minimum of three years of experience in warehouse distribution required.
- Minimum of one year of experience overseeing a workforce required.
**Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:**
- Broad knowledge of warehouse operations, methods and procedures.
- Strong leadership, communication and people development skills.
- Familiarity with inventory control, OSHA, HACCP and other regulatory requirements.
- Ability to interpret financial and operational data.

Work to Sales and Marketing counterparts to meet or exceed internal and external customer expectations relative to inventory and order fulfillment.
Direct all warehouse personnel activities towards the achievement of Company and Departmental goals.
Engage in direct training at all times necessary.
Perform personally at least one (1) work-with sessions with each WP each month. Each work-with should be planned so as to identify the specific needs/reasons for the work-with and desired outcomes. At the completion of the work-with an action plan should be developed with the WP to help him/her continue successful outcomes or help the WP to achieve successful outcomes.
Create individual development plan (IDP) for each subordinate. Perform routine performance reviews with WP.
Complete and/or ensure completion of accurate inventory control paperwork including but not limited to: receivers, unloaders' reports, invoices, load sheets, facility & equipment reports and other assigned work.
Ensure that all sub-distributor orders are fulfilled according to procedure and billed in a timely fashion.
Plan WP activities and desired results. Hold them accountable to execute those plans.
Provide WM with information concerning resource utilization. (people, equipment, time).
Execute all inventory and truck checking procedures as outlined in the current Warehouse and Inventory Control Policy.
Stay current with all SOP and supplier compliance requirements and ensure warehouse personnel compliance with them.
Execute manning schedule developed by the Routing Manager. Maintain up-to-date scheduling in formation so as to facilitate accurate payroll.

The Distribution Warehouse Associate is responsible for following established procedures while carrying out various functions in a manner that reflects the company's commitment to exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
Pick, pack, wrap and load product for delivery to customers.
Ensure accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments.
Safe operation of all material handling equipment, including pallet jacks, forklifts, etc.
Receive merchandise and stock shelves.
Assists with inventory procedures as requested.
Participates in physical inventory counts, as assigned, to verify the accuracy of parts on hand.
