The Opportunity
We are seeking a Strategic Sourcing Lead to join our team in Coppell, TX. In this pivotal role, you will be the bridge between business needs and the external supply base, ensuring that every sourcing decision drives strategic, financial, and operational value for the organization, helping to drive our business forward and shape the future of our global direct category strategy.

Trains warehouse workers in regard to warehousing activities
Maintains accurate time keeping for warehousemen, and pre-authorizes overtime.
Plans, schedules, and supervises all dock and staging area activities
Works closely with inventory control to ensures inventory accuracy by monitoring product movements, confirming location usage and auditing inventory movement
Frequently audits warehouse activity to make sure all internal safety requirements are being met as well as OSHA guidelines are being followed by employees and anyone working on site
Load plan and schedule orders for timely pickup to meet the customer's delivery requirements at the lowest possible freight cost
Monitors orders to assure all shipments are shipped within the 48 hour ship cycle
Provides carriers with information for timely pick up and delivery of orders
Analyzes orders for potential consolidation in order to reduce transportation cost
Ensures shipments meet required service levels and at lowest possible freight expense.
Monitor carrier performance and on time delivery
Bill/process shipments and complete all necessary paperwork for shipments and receiving and other tasks as requested by management
Accurately handle distribution and retention of documents insuring compliance with record retention requirements
Oversee Shipping and Receiving Admin's processes and tasks

SUMMARY:
The Shipper Receiver must follow all plant safety, Good Manufacturing Practices and Food Safety rules and regulations. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform all duties and responsibilities in accordance with Mizkan America safety policies, OSHA regulations, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), and SOP (Standard Operating Procedures).
Notify in-coming trucks to back up to correct dock doors, chock wheels, lock out airline.
Check trailer contents to ensure product and quantity is correct before being received.
Report any damaged product to Quality Assurance before receiving.
Retrieve and match shipping bill of lading and pick ticket.
Pull and stage using FIFO and pickup ticket.
Check order a second time for accuracy before loading onto trailer (dates, quantity and quality).
Load product onto trailer (

* Ensures training and development of associates related to knowledge of product placement and equipment usage.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education & Experience:
* Must have a High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
* 1 year experience working in a logistics/distribution/relevant environment.
* Able to operate MHE
Computer Skills:
* Basic computer skills
* RF Scanners
* WMS functions
Certificates & Licenses:
None
Language Skills
* English (reading, writing, verbal)
Mathematical Skills
* Basic to intermediate level to verify quantities of product, count inventory, or perform other duties associated with handling, storing and distributing client products.
Other Skills
* Strong attention to detail accuracy and accomplish job task in a timely manner.
* Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision or guidance
* Must be able to effectively adapt to change and thrive in a stimulating, fast-pace work environment.
* Must be able to work in unregulated temperatures within the warehouse during the warmer and colder months can range from mild to moderate.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* 1-3 years' experience working in an inventory department
* 1-3 years in a progressive leadership role.
