Reports to - Regional Director of Logistics Job Summary: The Fulfillment Center Logistics Manager will be primarily responsible for all branch logistics activities relating to distribution operations, executing all receiving, storage, inventory control, pick, packing and route loading for delivery of products. Maintains positive associate relations through regular department or pre-shift meetings; keeps open communication channels with associates by answering questions and explaining policies and procedures; monitors associate morale and submits and respond to ideas to improve associate engagement and enablement. Works with Safety Manager to aid in training, conducting associate observations, up-dating preferred work methods, conducting accident investigations to determine root causes, and routine safety inspections; makes recommendations for corrective action and/or behavior modification where required. Performs management functions of staff selection, development, discipline, performance reviews and/or terminations. Works assigned schedule, exhibits regular and predictable attendance and works outside of the normal schedule as required to meet workload demands. Performs the duties of associates supervised and other related duties as needed (and as qualified). REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: High school diploma, general education degree (GED), or equivalent degree; and two to four years transportation experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and related experience. GENERAL PURPOSE Performs a variety of managerial duties. Plans, coordinates, and manages the construction, operation, and maintenance of the City's transmission and distribution division to include supervision of overhead and underground facilities, substation facilities, meter shop and the vegetation management program.
