ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties may include but are not limited to general warehouse, inbound and/or outbound functions. Duties may vary depending on shift.
General warehouse:
Ensure optimal warehouse operations by preparing and processing routine forms, reports, and documents (inbound documents, outbound documents, discrepancy reports, stock and damage claims, time sheets, requisitions, shipping labels, etc.) following standard procedures.
Communicate with internal and external customers to support staff and customer needs. Respond to inquiries and telephone calls. Respond to requests by researching information.
Collect, track, and input data on relevant operations metrics to support tracking warehouse performance, including shorts, mispicks, dump/damage, service level, associate over-time.
Other duties as assigned by manager.
Inbound:
Schedule receiving appointments with vendors for all inbound freight according to warehouse capacities to support proper inbound warehouse functioning. Prepare and update Delivery Appointment sheet daily for receiving department.
Complete inbound freight processes by performing inbound driver check-in and check-out.
Ensure warehouse readiness for receiving by assigning receiving doors for inbound carriers.
Prepare purchase orders for receiving and confirm purchase orders.
Outbound:
Support night warehouse functions by checking returns and credit slips and assembling returned orders for proper return to picking slot. Investigate picking errors and find missing products.
Interact with warehouse personnel to solve selecting and shipping issues.
Complete outbound paperwork and reports including documents for selecting crew, route loading, drivers, and trucks received at night; Update the master storage report.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work will take place at a desk in a US Foods office-based environment but may occasionally require work in normal warehouse environments including cooler and freezer areas where temperatures may be as low as -5 degrees.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Related Experience/Requirements:
Minimum of two years of experience in warehouse & delivery procedures required.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Effective communication both verbally and in writing.
Excellent telephone and customer service ability.
Strong math, analytical, and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
Basic computer skills with a good knowledge of programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.

Position Description:
The Warehouse Operator will be responsible for recording data pertaining to receiving, storing, and shipping of grain at grain elevators. The Warehouse Operator will work with the other members of the team to work toward operational goals while maintaining quality and efficiencies.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Operate production equipment; open and close slide gates to start stop flow of grain.
Accurate weighing grain and record in computer system print and sign scale tickets for all unloaded and loaded out grain by truck or rail.
Responsible for accurately taking samples of all unloaded and loaded grain.
Responsible for keeping charts indicating location and contents of storage tanks and bins.
Complete and accurately monitor grades by weighing grain samples and recording results.
Operate production equipment; start conveyors, bucket elevators select flow pipes, and selects storage tanks to convey grain into storage or for load out.
Prepare rail car for loading; open/close rail car lids using anti-fall harness (safely exit the rail car height: 15-20 feet).
Operate a forklift.
Maintain all equipment including repair, periodic maintenance, and service. Including documenting in web-based maintenance program.
General housekeeping and upkeep of working area to include; sweeping, shoveling, vacuum, compressed air, and sanitation.
Ensure all safety policies and procedures are followed.

Operate production equipment; start conveyors, bucket elevators select flow pipes, and selects storage tanks to convey grain into storage or for load out.
Prepare rail car for loading; open/close rail car lids using anti-fall harness (safely exit the rail car height: 15-20 feet).
Operate a forklift.
Maintain all equipment including repair, periodic maintenance, and service. Including documenting in web-based maintenance program.
General housekeeping and upkeep of working area to include; sweeping, shoveling, vacuum, compressed air, and sanitation.
Ensure all safety policies and procedures are followed.

Skills, Knowledge, Education and Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent experience.
Previous experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment preferred not required.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instruction, and procedure manuals.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Basic knowledge of working with a computer and mechanical skills.
Good work ethic (team environment, both safe and quality), efficient and willingness to perform all required work with good attendance.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to move freely throughout the operations plant to include walking on elevated platforms, standing, sitting, climbing, stooping, kneeling and crawling
Ability to regularly lift and move up to 10 lbs., frequently lift and move up to 25 lbs. and occasionally lift and move up to 100 lbs.
Exposure to extreme climate temperatures, humidity and noise
Must be able to work in high places and confined spaces (height up to 100 feet).
Occasionally required to taste and smell
Required to wear protective equipment to include hard hat, safety glasses, protective footwear, gloves, coveralls, and other PPE as required.

Coordinate the day-to-day station operations by leading and organizing the activities of Agents/Clerks to ensure a safe working environment and on-time dependability.
Ensure adequate operational coverage; responsible for scheduling and manpower utilization

Conduct Agent observations
Schedule and administer local training including new hire training
Investigates and resolves operational issues as well as customer service issues

Create a positive start to a passenger's trip by being the first to greet the passenger and providing a seamless check-in and ticketing experience
Use appropriate reservation/ticketing software to rebook itineraries, issue boarding passes, and calculate and collect any appropriate fees
Inform passengers through all aspects of their experience with American Airlines by communicating appropriate information about their trips and belongings
Guide and direct incoming and outgoing aircraft on the taxiway to ensure that they are entering or leaving their gate safely and on-time
Load, unload, sort, and appropriately transfer passenger baggage, cargo/freight, and company materials
Some of these items can weigh up to 75 lbs. Drive ground equipment such as tugs to help the plane push in/out of the gate, belt loaders to help load baggage, and bag carts to deliver baggage to the claim area or the connecting flight
Collaborate with the internal team to ensure a safe and on-time departure
May clean the interior of the aircraft, clean and service aircraft lavatories, and/or work in the Baggage Service Office to track the location of baggage
