Warehouse Handler Pay Rate: $20/hour (W2) Start Date: July 31, 2025 (Firm) Our Client is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Warehouse Handler to support warehouse operations, including the movement, storage, and shipment of goods. This role involves operating a forklift, using a yard hustler, and executing general warehouse duties in a fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities: Operate a forklift to load, unload, move, and stack products safely and efficiently Use a yard hustler to move trailers from production areas Perform defensive receiving, put-away, and cycle counts/recounts Pick product from pick lists for SAP orders Audit picked orders for accuracy and completeness Relabel, repack, and return inventory to stock as needed Perform bin cleaning, inspection, and filling of returnable bins Manage in-house transfers and product relocations Support drivers with trailer loading and product arrangement Operate warehouse equipment such as sweepers and scrubbers Assist with returns processing and product audits Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required Minimum 1 year of forklift experience (6 months acceptable if all other qualifications are met) At least 2 years of general warehousing experience preferred Ability to lift up to 55 lbs by hand Strong communication skills (oral and written) Comfortable using Microsoft Office and standard warehouse equipment (calculator, printer, fax, phone) Able to work cross-functionally with teams across departments Must be able to troubleshoot and resolve routine shipping/receiving issues Additional Requirements: Medical screening is required and must be completed alongside the background check Candidate must be available to start on July 31, 2025 This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative and safety-oriented logistics team. This position ensures accurate inventory management, maintains food safety standards, and assists in the efficient operation of the warehouse to meet the needs of all district sites. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Receive and inspect incoming food and supply deliveries for accuracy and quality. Store food and supplies according to safety, sanitation, and temperature requirements. Accurately fill and deliver school orders based on site requests and menus. Maintain organized inventory and assist with regular stock counts. Load and unload trucks using appropriate lifting techniques and equipment. Rotate stock to ensure proper use of perishable items (FIFO method). Keep warehouse, vehicles, and equipment clean, orderly, and in good working condition. Maintain delivery logs and inventory records as required. Follow all USDA, state, and district guidelines for food handling and storage. Assist with kitchen deliveries during peak times or staff shortages as needed. Report any shortages, damages, or safety concerns to the supervisor promptly. Perform other related duties as assigned.
