The Field Inventory Specialist monitors and maintains inventory levels at assigned customer location(s) utilizing Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) software. RESPONSIBILITIES
Accurately performs inventory transactions for lot controlled and non-lot-controlled inventory following FIFO methods while understanding the difference between Manufacturer and internal lot numbers
Validates inbound shipment against pack slip and open receipt. Completes processing of receipt VMI and performs put away in designated customer inventory storage locations
Reviews shelf life reports and communicates potential issues with team members and/or customers. Scraps material out when appropriate and follows customer specified disposal procedures
Performs and reconciles cycle counts to compare VMI inventory to actual inventory on hand
Proactively seeks out and interacts with key customer contacts to understand demand fluctuations and potential impact on inventory levels. Identifies and troubleshoots onsite issues and works collaboratively to resolve, escalating when necessary
QUALIFICATIONS
2+ years of related industrial experience and/or training
Must be able to work between the hours of Monday - Friday 6am - 2pm
High school diploma or equivalency (GED, HSED)
Must work well independently and manage own time effectively

Receive and deliver shipments (except cash)
Verify Shipments received are correct items, quantities and cost.
Maintain accurate inventory and rotate stock items by kitchen.
Maintain receiving equipment(i.e. pallet jack and forklift once trained)
Keep Dock 4 area clean by sweeping and mopping daily.
Keep Dock 4 coolers and freezers clean and organized.
Maintain kitchen coolers and freezers.
Some computer work is required for searching inventory, orders and returns.
Assist Sous Chefs with month end inventories.
KNOWLEDGE AND CERTIFICATION, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Preferred Knowledge and Certification:
High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
Previous experience in the safe use and operation of warehouse equipment.
Forklift Training
Required Knowledge and Certification:
Knowledge of food and beverage warehousing and safety.
Knowledge of inventory control (i.e. First In First Out (FIFO) and dates that are close to end of life cycle).
Food knowledge on food products coming in to understand proper food storage.

JOB SUMMARY:
Catholic Charities is seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and detail-orientated individual to serve as a warehouse assistant at our Distribution Center.
The Warehouse Assistant supports the daily operations of Catholic Charities' Distribution Center by helping to ensure that donations, food products, and supplies are safely received, stored, inventoried, and distributed. This role is essential to maintaining an organized, efficient, and mission-driven warehouse that supports programs across the agency.
Working under the direction of the Warehouse Manager, the Warehouse Assistant helps track inventory, maintain clean and safe storage areas, and ensure products are properly handled and documented.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Receive donations and deliveries promptly and provide receipts to donors.
Pull and prepare orders for deliveries as instructed by the supervisor.
Record weights and quantities accurately for inventory tracking and reporting.
Inspect and assess the quality of donated food and materials before storage or distribution.
Properly store all in-kind donations and commodities each day, following safety and sanitation guidelines.
Help monitor and maintain inventory levels; alert supervisor when supplies need replenishment.
Keep warehouse spaces organized and labeled by item, date, and category.
Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe environment, including the warehouse, loading dock, and storage areas.
Assist with light maintenance or repairs related to warehouse equipment or facilities as needed.
Safely operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, ladders, and shelving systems (training provided).
Collect, enter, and manage inventory or client data accurately in the system of record.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERTISE:
Ability to work effectively with diverse and/or low-income populations, including individuals experiencing homelessness, unstable housing, and/or mental illness.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Basic computer proficiency, including familiarity with Windows-based programs, and ability to read, write, and follow written instructions.
Experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, or materials handling preferred.
Demonstrated reliability, teamwork, and attention to detail.
Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds independently.
