The Inventory Specialist is responsible for managing and maintaining accurate records for the Department of Veteran Affairs Consolidated Mail Outpatient Pharmacy (CMOP). The CMOP utilizes a combination of automated and manual procedures to prepare and dispense Over The Counter (OTC) and legend drug prescriptions, controlled substance prescriptions, bulk type prescriptions, and medical/surgical products directly by mail to patients. The nature of services includes the operation and support of automated and manual filling equipment, and the preparation of prescription orders for mail-out dispensing. This role ensures that inventory levels are sufficient to meet business needs while minimizing excess or obsolete stock. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented and proficient in monitoring inventory transactions and reconciling discrepancies. This is a fulltime position and the hours are 6:00AM - 2:30 PM or 3:00PM - 11:30PM, 8-hour shifts Monday through Friday. Duties/Responsibilities: Restocking and accounting of items stored in various locations. Compiling and maintaining records, identifying types of supplies, and suggesting re-order points for revolving stock. Maintains inventories of drugs and supplies, stocking shelves, rotating stock, and checking expiration date of pharmaceuticals Fills/stocks medications in various automated devices and storage locations.
