Summit's warehouse associates play a pivotal role in fulfilling our customers' needs for materials and services by receiving in new material from our vendors, picking customer's orders for will call or delivery, and participating in cycle counting and other inventory management practices. What you will do:
Pull customer tickets to fulfill orders.
Prepare orders for shipment to customers.
Load and unload Summit trucks.
Receive and stock products on a daily basis to replenish inventory.
Understand products and their capabilities and warranties.
Assist sales associates in fulfilling customer orders when necessary.
Ensure warehouse and respective outside areas are neat and clean at all times.

Key ResponsibilitiesThe Stockroom Clerk is responsible for purchasing materials required for the repair of transformers, as well as working with management to secure favorable vendor terms, prices and schedules for delivery using knowledge of budget and schedule requirements. Work with repair technicians to research and propose the correct replacement parts for any necessary repairs.
Acquire quotes and lead times from different suppliers, if possible, to achieve the best pricing/delivery.
Monitors & take action regarding Purchase Orders (POs) and RFQs (Request for Quotations).
Reviews, updates and maintains open Purchase Orders until closed.
Develops knowledge of supplier manufacturing processes, material and commodity pricing and excellent focus on quality.
Acts as a first line of contact & establishes strategic relationships with suppliers.
Understand variance reports to determine where common issues are deriving from and report ongoing issues to management to produce effective solutions.
Review all inventory transfers/transactions processed by the stockroom clerk to ensure accurate inventory level throughout each location.
