Location:
Plant 37 is located in Hanover, PA. The Plant manufactures 2-piece and 3-piece steel cans for the food industry. There are approximately 95 employees at the Hanover location. The Hanover Plant is located on Route 194 in York County and is in close proximity to York, PA, Gettysburg, PA and the Maryland border.
Position overview:
The Forklift Operator moves unfinished and finished goods, loads and unloads trucks and stages product. This position supports operations and shipping and receiving work areas based on business needs. This position is scheduled 5pm-5am on a yearly rotational schedule. The hourly rate of pay is $22.24 with an additional $2 shift differential.
Duties And Responsibilities:
Reporting directly to the Manufacturing Supervisor, the Forklift Operator responsibilities would include, but not be limited to, the following:
Ensure safe operating practices;
Complete forklift operator training annually, provided by Company;
Perform routine pre and post inspections on forklift equipment to ensure forklift equipment is operating well;
Move controls, levers, and devices to drive industrial forklifts to transport materials; between loading, unloading, processing and storage areas;
Visually perform quality checks as required on incoming materials, trailers, and outgoing finished goods, etc.;
Organize and secure materials where loads of materials and pallets are stored;
Able to read and understand pallet tickets and date codes and production schedules;
Manually load or unload materials onto or off pallets, skids, platforms, or lifting devices;
Wraps loads as needed;
Pick orders and/or unload trailers to meet shipping and receiving schedules;
Operate computer to navigate inventory systems;
Performs other job-related duties as required or assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Requirements
1+ years forklift operation experience in manufacturing or warehouse environment
Must be qualified as to visual, auditory, physical, and mental ability to operate the equipment safely
Able to work alternate work schedules including overtime, voluntary and mandatory, based on business needs
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with other team members and external contacts
Strong attention to detail and ability to establish and maintain a high level of organization and quality.

JOB OBJECTIVE:
Represent Encova Insurance and functions as the agency manager for assigned agents with a primary focus on commercial lines (e.g., worker's compensation and/or package lines). Focused on taking action to achieve results that positively impact growth and profitability while ensuring excellent customer service and timely responsiveness to assigned agencies for their commercial lines accounts.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. As agency manager, this role is the liaison between Encova and its appointed agency force. Duties include;
o Develop and maintain agency relationships through regular visits with agency leadership and production staff, encompassing:
* Agency growth and profitability with Encova.
* Agency progress towards Encova profit share program and Leaders' Conference participation.
* Encova updates and organizational changes.
o Facilitate growth between all Encova profit centers and assigned agencies.
2. Coordinate agency training when needed and assist agencies with the tools needed to build sustainable, long-term profitable growth with Encova across all profit centers.
3. Gather competitive intelligence.
4. Stay abreast of current insurance laws and regulations.
5. Prospect and qualify new agents for potential appointments.
6. Submit written reports as required.
7. Attend industry events.
8. Determine the acceptability, quality, pricing, profitability and opportunity for new and renewal business.
9. Complete thorough risk analysis on designated accounts using appropriate Encova, NCCI, ISO and industry rules, policies, procedures, guidelines, etc.
10. Identify, create and initiate new business opportunities within current book of business and assigned agencies.
11. Gather and analyze information necessary to make an accurate evaluation of risk.
12. Determine appropriate pricing based on risk exposures, risk quality, loss potential and coverage provided.
13. Utilize available resources including company underwriting guidelines, business unit strategies, and consultation with others to ensure adequate understanding of risk exposures.
14. Prepare and participate in proposals to producers. Negotiate terms and conditions.
15. Ensure the proper issuance of policies, certificates, filings and notifications.
16. Effectively utilize rules and guidance to ensure proper policy construction.
17. Seek the guidance of management on risks exceeding assigned authority levels.
18. Identify underwriting issues; recommend and develop plans for problem resolution and implement them where appropriate.
19. Manage existing and prospective accounts by actively participating in account renewals, new business presentations and discussion with agents.
20. Participate in monitoring and analyzing performance of assigned agents; initiate actions and recognize consequences of alternative actions.
21. Account management including coordination of service delivery of various disciplines within the team: claim review, safety and loss services, customized reporting, etc.
22. Conduct/coordinate sales and training sessions and orientation of new products, programs, and systems for assigned agents. When requested, lead discussions on new underwriting approaches, coverage enhancements/changes, and underwriting projects.
OTHER FUNCTIONS:
1. Responsible for automobile travel within territory traveling to agents' offices. Car travel represents a meaningful portion of associate's time.
2. Non-essential function: other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
* Minimum 5 years of progressive commercial lines underwriting experience in package lines and/or worker's compensation in the Property and Casualty insurance market strongly preferred.
* Bachelor's degree preferred, demonstrated significant underwriting experience may substitute.
* Demonstrated working knowledge of commercial multi-line underwriting, pricing and coverage.
* Demonstrated knowledge of effective sales/marketing and agency relationship techniques including the ability to partner with independent insurance agents.
* Preference may be shown for applicants with CPCU and/or ARM designation(s)

Your role will encompass a diverse set of responsibilities, including the setup and breakdown of off-premise events, basic kitchen prep tasks, barbacking duties, and the management of supplies and tablewares. In the warehouse, you will take charge of loading and unloading trucks for events, conduct small truck maintenance tasks, driving trucks as needed, and contributing to the efficient organization of the warehouse space. SCHEDULE:
This is a flex-time position with a primary reporting location at our catering warehouse in Owings Mills (11 Gwynns Mill Ct, Suite S.). Some travel is required for this position, and it is likely that the schedule will vary from week to week, depending on the number of booked events, needs within the warehouse and kitchen operations. This position requires weekend and occasional holiday availability.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Load and unload trucks for events, ensuring accurate and timely handling of equipment and materials.
Execute small truck maintenance tasks, such as filling gas tanks and cleaning trucks.
Drive trucks as required for event logistics.
Organize and maintain the warehouse space efficiently.
Collaborate with the events team to understand specific event requirements.
Provide on-site support during events, assisting with setup, breakdown, and troubleshooting.
Manage and organize supplies and tableware for off-premise events.
Fulfill barbacking responsibilities to ensure smooth bar operations.
Coordinate transportation logistics for event materials.
Work closely with the events team to ensure a cohesive and efficient workflow.
Maintain accurate inventory records of event equipment, furniture, and supplies.
Address and report any damages or issues promptly.
Enforce safety protocols within the warehouse and during event setup.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to lift packages and equipment weighing at least 50 pounds
Walking, standing, sitting required throughout the typical business day
The ability to regularly & repetitively bend, carry, climb, grasp, kneel, lift, pull, push, reach, sit, stand, twist, walk
Must have a valid driver's license and the ability to drive a box truck
Enthusiastic & responsible with flexible schedule
Ability to multi-task while maintaining strong attention to detail
