Our privately-held manufacturing company in Spring Grove, IL that focuses on electrical wiring harnesses, cable assemblies, and wire processing is seeking a receiving clerk to perform tasks in the areas of maintaining raw material shelves, checking in packages, labeling, and documenting in the computer. This position is scheduled from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Come start or continue your career with a growing company established in 1967. Receiving Clerk Duties and Responsibilities Unload incoming trucks using a pallet jack. Ensure packages and shipments match up to their documents provided by the vendors. Weigh packages to verify ship weights on vendor labels. Maintain and organize raw material shelves and aisle Perform cycle counts by metering wire and cables Investigate and provide information to purchasing on any inventory discrepancies. Prepare/pack outgoing shipments and assist shipping department with related tasks as needed Prepare daily reports documenting all incoming FedEx and UPS shipments Carry materials up and down the stairs to and from the stock room Miscellaneous other duties as assigned by supervisor or management. Receiving Clerk Qualifications and Requirements High school education or relevant work experience required. Ability to speak, read, and write English required. Ability to count, do basic arithmatic, and read and use a scale Computer skills needed Receiving experience is required. Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination. Ability to lift up to 70+ lbs and walk up and down stairs many times during the day, while carrying boxes up to 60+l bs Ability to work while standing, will be on feet most of the day. Ability to maintain a brisk pace to ensure timely receiving deliveries.
