This is an important function as it supports many other departments: purchasing, production, inventory, and accounting.
Responsibilities and Duties
In addition to the above responsibilities, this position will also be responsible for the following.
Receive and organize all biomass and crude deliveries. Use pallet jacks, forklifts, and other appropriate tools as needed to unload trucks and organize goods within the warehouse.
Communicate any issues and nuances with the Purchasing & Inventory Manager and other stakeholders to find a resolution.
Prepare and queue materials needed by pulling them from their respective locations and organizing them in designated areas or delivering them to the appropriate location.
Accurately input data and information into our Enterprise Resource Planning system, Acumatica, as well as Google Sheets and other tracking systems.
Take photos of goods and paperwork being received; capturing detail and context for future reference.
Maintain an accurate and up to date record of all deliveries.
Clean and maintain the warehouse and its contents.
Safely operate forklift or other machinery in order to complete tasks, such as loading, unloading, sorting, staging, and transporting products.
Work safely in warehouse and lab environments and in accordance with standard operating procedures.

Material Handler positions assist with the timely fulfillment and delivery of products from the warehouse.
Material Handler I: Entry-level warehouse associate who is not Power Industrial Truck (PIT) certified. Work safely in warehouse and lab environments and in accordance with standard operating procedures.

Qualifications and Skills
Experience with ERP systems for inventory management and goods receipt
Proficiency in Google Workspace (Sheets, Gmail, etc.) and collaboration tools like Slack
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
Minimum of 2 years of forklift operation experience
Eager to learn and adapt to OBX's processes and systems
Clear and professional communication skills
Collaborative and team-oriented work style
Interest in developing new skills and improving problem-solving techniques
Physical Demands and Working Environment
Must be able to lift and balance 50-70 pounds regularly and use tools such as dollies, pallet jacks, and forklifts when appropriate.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to perform grasping, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.
Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time (6-8 hours) with frequent kneeling and bending.
Work around plants, airborne particles, and chemicals with proper PPE.
Must be comfortable working with and around heavy machinery.
May experience moderately high noise levels.
