Pay Rate: $21.50/hour The primary focus of the Warehouse II role is movement of product within the warehouse. In addition, this role will serve as back-up delivery driver for non-CDL trucks. Preference will be given to those with previous warehousing, material handling, or related work experience. Experience in operating motorized material handling equipment including forklifts preferred. If driving heavy machinery equipment is required, a valid operator's license is required that is appropriate for the vehicle(s) to be driven. Onsite training and certification will be required. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. Must be able to read and understand English. Must be able to physically lift/move/push/pull items (up to 50 lbs. alone or occasionally lift up to 100 lbs. with two people) Must be able to climb ladders, stairs, scaffolding, and ramps to store/retrieve items, and operate a pallet jack containing up to 2,500 lbs. Must be authorized to work in the United States. Must be Temple Recommend Worthy or have a current Temple Recommend. Specific work performed may vary considerably between different departments for this position. However, duties would be of similar complexity and difficulty to those in the following list: 90% Performs general material handling/warehousing duties involving receiving, storing, and inventorying materials/commodities. Processes materials using postal manifest and meter equipment. Loads and unloads trucks. Reviews and interprets shipping documents, verifies quantities, inspects for damage, and determines country of origin and specific language code for international materials. 10% Assists in maintaining equipment, building, grounds, and keeps appropriate records as assigned. Incumbents may be required to assist in loading 40 foot trailers for shipment or prepare pallets of assorted materials for worldwide shipping, requiring special knowledge in order to balance the load to meet weight, space, and distribution requirements.
