SCHEDULE:
Day Shift hours start between 6:45am-7:00am and end between 5:25pm-5:40pm

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:
Operate small industrial vehicles including but not limited to- stand up forklift, sit down forklift, vna (very narrow aisle) forklift, cherry picker, tugger, reach truck, small box truck, or pallet jack as needed
Assist in the management and distribution of goods within BMW's logistics system
Move and transport parts and pallets from incoming trucks and stack them in assigned locations, including racks that are up to 30 ft. high
Use a cherry picker forklift or reach truck to move and transport large items on warehouse shelves
Responsible for scanning, picking, sequencing, inspecting, transporting and moving parts within the plant to ensure the production line has the correct parts in a timely manner
Perform general warehouse duties as necessary

Duties and Responsibilities:
A. Basic Company Requirements
Read and understand written procedures (in English) for processing chemicals
Follow written and verbal instructions from supervision, management, and engineering
Complete basic math functions (add, subtract, multiply, and divide)
Understand and adhere to company policies and procedures
B. Safety and Environmental Requirements
* Read and understand a Safety Data Sheet (SOS) to identify hazards of handling chemical
* Don Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) correctly and effectively
* Safely handle solvents (such as methanol), acids (such as nitric acid), and bases (such as 50% sodium hydroxide) or other hazardous or potentially hazardous chemicals
* Understand and adhere to company emergency procedures
* Complete monthly and annual computer-based safety training on time
* Report all spills, leaks, injuries, mischarges, and other incidents immediately to the Supervisor and/or management
* Attend training as specified by Supervisor, including all safety training
* Report all unsafe conditions immediately to the Supervisor and/or management
* Understand policies and procedures for line breaks, hot work, Lock Out/Tag Out, and confined space
* Protect the environment to prevent ground, water, and air pollution
* Receiving, Shipping and Other Material Movement Needs and Housekeeping Requirements
* Completing all necessary documents needed accurately and neatly
* Being knowledgeable of warehousing procedures, proper completion of Bills of Lading, D.O.T. requirements for transportation and equipment use
* Verifying that all warehoused inventory is properly labeled to include computer product number and properly storing and organizing all warehoused inventory
* Inspect and operate a fork truck per company procedures
* Safely transport materials using a fork truck (staging raw materials in the plant, transporting waste containers to waste pad, and transporting finished product to warehouse, etc.) or other transport device
* Assisting in training new personnel in the safe and proper operation of equipment and D.O.T. guidelines and the applicable Work Instructions contained within the Quality Management System
* Being knowledgeable of all equipment used, the tank farm and tankers, in addition to all plant tanker loading and unloading procedures
* Assuring the cleanliness of equipment and facilities (Good Housekeeping)
* Executing the plant wide utilization of warehousing space, along with the organization and location of materials and associated assets
* Execute the housekeeping efforts to maintain a safe, orderly and clean work environment
* Performing physical inventories as directed
* Correctly weigh materials (in drums, totes, bags, etc.) and understand gross weight, tare (or empty) weight, and net weight
* Understand operation of a pump for transferring chemicals
* Properly connect hoses, pumps, and pipelines (including connections to tank trucks)
* Safely collect samples from tanks, tankers, packages or other vessels, label the samples, and submit the samples to the lab for analysis or shipment
* Follow all procedures for safe handling of empty drums or containers
* Operate valves, pumps, filters, etc.
* Clean up spills and properly dispose of any waste
* Keep operating area and grounds tidy and free of trash and debris
* Perform other duties as assigned by supervision
Skills, Qualifications, Experience, Special Physical Requirements:
* High School Diploma and/or GED
* Ability to lift 60 lbs.
* Need to be able to read, write, and verbally communicate in English
