This position is in the Boiler/Kiln area Job Type: Full Time (55+hours) 3 week rotating day shift 7am - 7pm (including weekends and Holidays) SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS * Operate 30,000lb forklifts, or industrial trucks equipped to move, load, and stack/unstack materials around mills, warehouses and yard * Ensure that all lumber packs are stacked according to the Stacking Quality Standard ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OPERATION * Complete Forklift Daily Checklist at the beginning of shift to ensure cleanliness of the forklift, proper and safe operation, and identification of any issues that may require maintenance intervention * Safely and effectively operate diesel powered forklift to transport materials between various loading, processing, and storage areas, as assigned * Safely stop and reset forklift when malfunctions occur, clear machine jams, and report all malfunctions to area supervisor HOUSEKEEPING & ORGANIZATION * Maintain cleanliness and order of forklift and workspace throughout shift.
