Responsibilities Under direct supervision, prepares merchandise for customers by promptly filling and packaging orders for will call or shipping. Receive and prioritize orders through supervisor-issued work tags. Retrieve items from inventory using manual methods and/or forklifts. Prepare materials for delivery or pick-up by customers, ensuring proper packaging and labeling. Verify the accuracy and timeliness of filled orders before delivery or pick-up. Complete bills of lading for materials being delivered to customers. Maintain organized files for customer pick-up orders, noting relevant information on invoices. Serve "Express Will Call Customers" promptly to expedite order processing. Assist with counter sales by entering orders into the system and pulling/loading orders. Foster a positive work atmosphere by cooperating and communicating effectively with customers, co-workers, and managers. Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor. Qualifications Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful performance of the job would qualify. The Warehouse Worker provides warehouse services through safe, efficient, cost-effective and accurate handling of customer products and materials using manual labor, standard power equipment and computer equipment. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED Equivalent preferred. Minimum 1 year experience in a similar position required, 2-3 years' experience preferred. Experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment is preferred. Forklift certification is a plus. Ability to operate warehouse equipment (forklifts, power tools, RF scanners, etc.). Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively. Ability to perform basic math functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division). Basic computer skills for inventory management. Physical Requirements Lifting and Carrying: Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, up to 50 lbs., frequently throughout the shift. Standing and Walking: Up to 10 hours of standing and walking on concrete floors per day. Bending and Stooping: Frequent bending, stooping, and reaching to access inventory and perform tasks. Climbing: Occasional climbing of ladders or stairs to reach higher shelves. Manual Dexterity: Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for handling small parts and operating equipment. Pushing and Pulling: Ability to push and pull carts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Must be able to use the following PPE: steel toe boots, safety glasses, safety gloves, and others as required. Depending on location, protective sleeves may be required. Working Conditions Warehouse employees operate in an industrial environment with concrete flooring, requiring prolonged standing and movement.
